The baby and mom should have been allowed to go to God when this happened....

so are they not dead ???

If they are dead or the lady is dead then she went to God weeks ago..

dead means the spirit left the body..

If she was a Christian then she’s with God..

nobody here on Earth no mortal can stop you from going to God..

it is not up to any human to “allow” her to go to God..

If she is dead then she has gone already..

she’s not there in that shell she no longer needs..

There doesn’t seem to be a clear statement on that but as of Jan 24 from 10 News, Tampa online..

Judge orders Marlise Munoz, brain-dead pregnant woman, be taken off life support

“Tests are done daily on the fetus, and results show a normal heart beat”

http://www.wtsp.com/news/topstories/article/354133/250/Judge-Remove-life-support-for-pregnant-woman

The baby is not hooked up to any machines, just her mother...

she is functioned on her own..

From Dallas News

If ruling doesn’t end Muñoz case, fetal viability could be relevant

“Both Texas and federal law pay close attention to viability in some cases. So does the medical standard of practice — the rules doctors are supposed to use for guidance.

But neither the law nor most medical or ethical guidelines speak to what should happen to a live fetus in an unmistakably dead but artificially sustained woman.”

...........

Fetal viability was not mentioned in the judge’s decision. But if the case continues, that could become a factor. If the equipment had been shut off as little as a week ago, most doctors say, there would have been no option regarding the fetus. But every week of additional development could make a substantial difference in the odds of survival outside the womb.”

The hospital has been dealing with TWO patients.

What I am trying to get folks to focus upon is the GROWING/GESTATING child, alive in the womb. That child is building his/her own body for survival in the air world. Many assumptions are made by those in favor of 'pulling the plug', not the least significant of which is the 'belief' that braindead mother is brain deadchild, also, as if the growing child is an imaginary effect, that since the mother is braindead the child must be also. The child is in the process fo BUILDING a space suit to life int he air world.

When the oxygen deficiency occurred at 14 weeks, if that killed the alive child, would the child continue to build its own body for survival in the air world? That's why I asked if the child had grown ANY in the eight weeks that followed.

A prolife person, if they can comprehend what it means that the child is building its own spacesuit for survival in the air world, such a prolife soul can see why we should focus solely on that second, unborn patient, to do all that we can do to give that patient a chance to survive.

if they do “pull the plug” before the dead line which is 5PM TX time on Monday, I hope they do a C-section and take the baby first..

He or she deserves a chance to be born..

if the baby is not viable she will either be born dead or will die a short time later..

but at least she would have been given a chance..

It could be that the judge was lead to believe the baby is already dead because of Marlise’s death situation..

The viability of the baby was not discussed at all during the hearing which amazes me ..I would have thought the baby would have been mentioned since this plug pulling directly affects a living patient who has not been proven to be brain dead or otherwise...

Was this an over sight or subterfuge..

this smacks too much of Scott Peterson/Michael Schiavo..

Peterson because he murdered Lacy because she was pregnant and in the way...

and somehow the cold attitude of Erick Munoz is the same..

What loving husband calls his wife a “rotting corpse” like Munoz did of his wife ???

and Terri also have a strange “incident” at her home with just her husband “discovering her..

and the husband anxious to pull the plug...

The baby was discussed and the viability. Keep in mind that at 14 weeks the Hospital, the Family and Dr’s all agreed at that time she was dead and that a fourteen week unborn could not survive.

in this last court session the Hospital agreed the baby was NOT viable....did not have a chance to survive outside the womb.

From FoxNews...

Munoz, who is 23 weeks pregnant with a “distinctly abnormal” fetus, has been hospitalized and on life support since before Thanksgiving.

J.R. Labbe, a spokeswoman for John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, issued a
statement Sunday that says the hospital “will follow the court order” issued
Friday in the case of Marlise Munoz.

The statement does not say when the hospital will pull life support, and Labbe
declined to comment in a follow-up message.

It says they will comply but not that they have complied as stated
in the post 168 to which I was asking where that remove info was coming from.

Yes it hasn’t happened yet...

the hospital has just decided to do it..

they have until 5PM Texas time on Monday to do so..

Both the hospital and family agreed before Wallace’s ruling that Marlise Munoz meets
the criteria to be considered brain-dead — which means she is dead both medically
and under Texas law — and that her fetus, at about 23 weeks, could not be born
alive this early in pregnancy.

The mother has indeed been removed from life support....the Monday deadline was for the hospital if they chose to appeal the Judge’s decision...they chose to not appeal and would comply with the Courts decision...she has now been removed from life support.
