Oh yeah, that looks contained to me alright... in a pig’s eye.
If it gets any more “contained” the rate of change will be infinitely positive.
I listened to Frieden answer questions. He seemed to have difficulty enunciating his words. Does he have a speech problem?
The real CDC assesses risk, and uses scientific data to determine the best response. It is not the pseudo-military organization portrayed in movies.
Politically, I think it would be terrible if the CDC were to come out and tell everyone that Ebola is going to kill us all and we better all start panicking and emptying the store shelves of bleach. If the CDC were to exaggerate the threat of Ebola, and nothing were to happen, then no one would believe anything else the CDC has to say about the infectious diseases that are real problems. And *that* would be a disaster.
There are many contagious diseases that kill thousands of people right here in the US. Try reading the CDC’s MMWR, and look at the monthly summaries of select infectious diseases. If only people would get worked up about the common killers, instead of some exotic disease that won’t go anywhere.
The other thing we don’t have is a Surgeon General. Obama’s former politicized appointments have all washed out after doing or saying some stupid thing or another, and have all been nobodies anyway.
There’s currently yet another nominee before the Senate, and the libs are blaming the NRA for the fact that he doesn’t have approval! This one is apparently convinced that the job of the Surgeon General is to implement Obama’s anti-gun policies rather than to deal with verifiable health matters. That said, he obviously doesn’t have the approval of enough Senate Dems, either, so he obviously has failed to impress and has come across as what everybody around Obama is, purely political.
Meanwhile, Ebola is being dealt with by a chain of fools (highly politicized fools, of course).
Holy dog sh*t, Texas! Only steers and queers come from Texas, private Cowboy! And you don’t much look like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down!
I don’t think the response is purposely piss poor. All our problems have been miraculously solved by Obama waving his magical scepter, declaring the problems solved, or he will have a conversation on a listening tour. BLAMMO, the problem is solved and we never hear it again. The feds are so use to that. Obama has declared Ebola will not come to our shores and voila, it won’t come to our shores. And if it came to our shores through Liberian visitors, the problem will be solved by having a conversation with someone. And when people start dying, Obama will not be able to comment on an ongoing investigation in to how the republican shut down, sequestration, and global warming are to blame. And dude, that was like last week.
> ... NOT DOING A DAMN THING UNTIL 48 HOURS AFTER THE MAN WAS A CONFIRMED EBOLA VICTIM.
VICTIM? The S.O.B. is a CRIMINAL carrier. He came here while knowing that he had Ebola.
yes there is , become your child’s peer group. Homeschool. If not, then talk openly of what is happening, what your views are and why.
.....and there is no effective cure!
Quarantine Africa. No flights in or out.
Quarantine the occupants of the Dallas infected house in a medical quarantine facility.
Burn the Dallas Ebola infected house to the ground.
Hose down the yard, sidewalk and driveway of the infected house with lye and chlorine bleach.
Incinerate the bodies of anyone dying from Ebola.
Obama will find someone to throw under the bus when we are hip deep in dead bodies. It’s the Chicago way.

Bingo. Gov. Good Hair has done exactly what he’s done for 14 years, zip, nada, zilch, nothing.
Someone should make a “spinning Ebola” poster. The virus looks like thread, or yarn.
It is going to get super expensive for the airlines to continue to provide transportation from heavily ebola infected Nations. They will have to sanitize and decommission planes when they transport an ebola zombie. In the US they could be sued for bringing the disease (not taking proper precautions) into neighborhoods. I hope someone sues American Airlines for bring Ebola into Dallas.
It is careless politics that has the government not demanding protection; but it is careless business practices for airlines not do it on their own. Like only fly passengers who have been competently cleared of having the disease or decide that continuing flights from ebolaland is an economically unviable business practice. Lawsuits for damages would make that activity economically unviable.
The talking head they keep trotting out assures us all is well and was handled great.
Yet we know the ER staff sent Patient Ground Zero back home the first time he went to the ER. “Go home it’s just a cold” or somesuch great medical genius pronouncement was made.
Oh,yeah. Nothing to worry about. The professionals are at work from the ER to the CDC.
And make sure to stress that it cannot be easily contracted.
Right. Sure. Move along, nothing to worry about.
Instead of “would you like the blue pill or the red pill”, in O’Bola’s Regime it is “would you like ebola or a quick beheading”.
O’Bola and his entire regime from top to scummy bottom should rot in prison, followed by their eventual burning in hell, for what they’ve done to America.
Not that I’m bitter or anything.
I agree, Patient Zero is a criminal for knowingly entering our country with this disease. He is a biological WMD.

His speech pattern reminds me of Bob Woodward's. Like a car with underinflated tires dragging itself down the road.
