I have a problem in regards to LOGIC when it comes to my acquaintance’s explanation of deprecation or abrogation.
First, he tells me that Allah is the absolute sovereign, therefore, he can alter his commands and replace them at will. To them, the Will of Allah is paramount.
So, this tells me that the Allah they believe in can define “good” anyway he likes. Today, he defines “good” as being kind and charitable to others, and tomorrow, Allah can define “good” as being cruel and sadistic?
Secondly, this idea of abrogation seems at odds with my view of an all-knowing and all-wise God, which they claim Allah is.
I will agree that a man like myself is limited and needs to learn from his mistakes, and therefore need to provide better commands after earlier commands have not worked.
It is however, not self-evident that the creator and sustainer of the universe is like that.
This idea of abrogation flies in the face of the Muslim insistence that the Koran the true, perfect and complete and final revelation of Allah.
It looks like their own way of explaining their particular cognitive dissonance.... they know in their heart of hearts that violence against innocent people simply because they are not Muslim, is wrong, yet, they cannot defend the Koran without overlooking the violent verses.
Therefore, they have to invent a doctrine called abrogation. But by doing so, they create more logical problems than they purport to solve.

Neither is there a single Christian sect of any significance which openly advocates, much less practices the violence justified in certain historical contexts of the Old Testament.
So the only valid scriptural comparison of violence between Christianity and Islam is to ask "What is the most violent thing Jesus did in the New Testament?"

Liberal/Progressives have been willingly blinded to their own dangerous foolishness. They sincerely “believe” in their cause because they are so completely deceived and welcomed that it be so.
