Nat gas at home would have to have a compressor either at home or in the car. Nat gas at atmospheric pressure ain’t gonna get you very far.
A couple of companies have done compressors. BNC bought out the troubled Phill that had quality problems. BNC is a commercial compressor company that started with bigger units like for fleet operations.
Although the compression rate is large, the home units save dollars by being sized for very slow flow rates. It may take 8 hours to fill the vehicle. The intent is to fill overnight.

And the cost of the home compressor unit is high and the reliability reports are not good.
