Trump is new to the world of politicians. In the business world, if a competitor slanders and publishes lies about you, you sue for libel. But politicians lie all the time and no one touches them.

Ted lies about as effortlessly as Bill Clinton. It’s amazing actually and you have to hat tip to him that he is able to lie like the Slickster. It’s a special talent, really reserved for lawyers and politicians...

He’s not going to sue because he knows he would lose.

Its all about keeping his simple minded followers hooting and screeching like the chimpanzees they are.

So what?

By the way, how foolish would Trump look when they played tapes or him saying that cruz is elegible, and then saying the opposite.

Suppose he does, and the court rules that one American citizen parent does not suffice for NBC status?

Then the case would get appealed, and eventually make its way up to the Supreme Court... then what?

cite it....and note, it’s gotta be a lie...not just something that offends your delicate trumpeting sensibilities.

It will discourage new voters from going to Cruz if they question his eligibility. Just as voters left Dr. Carson in Iowa when Cruzers put his candidacy in question.

It's perfectly symmetrical payback. And it sends an important message for when Trump is President.....actions will have consequences.

obama only has one American citizen parent.

Do I need to connect the rest of the dots, or can you manage from here?

The article is only half right. He threatens to sue when he wants to get headlines on all the news sites. It works 100% of the time, and Donald Trump is the only beneficiary in this game. The people who already decided not to vote for him probably still won’t, those who will, will, and all the undecideds or people who don’t care get sucked into the vortex.

The reason I say only half-right, is that the rest of the article makes the same old mistake they’ve all been making that Donald Trump is stupid. He has an ego a mile wide, sure, but he’s not dumb. He knows how to bump every other candidate off the frontpage, and the media are like putty in his hands. Claiming that Trump is desperate or “reacting to bad polls” or setting things up for when he loses is possibly the stupidest “theory” of them all, because he’s winning. I don’t know what some of these writers are smoking, their TDS at this point is debilitating. It’s also contagious, and we have a serious outbreak going around FR at the moment.

Hopefully after Saturday, all of the victims suffer their late-stage terminal opuses, or alternately, recover back to health, and things will quiet down. :)

LOL!!! That would be awesome! Cruz would be done in politics!

Your glee is both revealing and revolting - Trump can’t win on merit, so he gets the rubes all worked up to to do the dirty work.

Trump won’t sue Cruz, because he knows there is no standing, but rubes fall for it.

An ad with three candidates all calling Cruz a liar, would backfire big time among conservatives, but rubes will love it.

Of course, Trumpers are nothing but political rioters no different than those who burned Ferguson and Baltimore.

There’s no way Trump can win the presidency but they don’t care, they just want to burn it all down.

So you are saying the courts would find that Cruz isn't a citizen, and because of that, Obama would no longer be president and all the laws he signed would be revoked?

Interesting theory, but I doubt it.

(By the way, some Freepers have speculated that Obama's father was a man who is actually a U.S. citizen.)

I suspect the case would drag on untul after the election.

But I don't think Trump is doing anything but huffing and buffing anyway.

[Trump can’t win on merit, so he gets the rubes all worked up to to do the dirty work.]

Speaking of “dirty work”, Trump’s campaign didn’t send out voter intimidation mailers. Didn’t lie and suggest that a candidate was dropping out of a race and that supporters should switch to Cruz... didn’t conduct dishonest push polling and robocalls...
