Why Didn't the Trump Campaign Say Something About Colorado Sooner?

Trump is not stupid and neither are the people around him, I have a feeling they knew the Colorado rules perfectly, they probably also realized that Cruz had a better organization and they stood little chance of winning delegates in Colorado under the bizarre rules. So essentially they lost the delegate war by conceding the state to Cruz, then turned around and shined the spotlight on Colorado process and managed to make lemonade out of lemons by turning that loss into a major PR victory and a campaign line “the game is rigged” that they will use through the convention to rally their voters.

YOU. NAILED. IT.

Jesus Christ: You can't impeach Him and He ain't gonna resign.

The CO delegates were originally slated to all go for Jeb Bush. There wasn’t chance in the world that they were going anywhere else.

Complete BS.

Since he has suspended his campaign, they needed an insider to be a place holder for the delegates and that turns out to be Cruz, who will control those delegates until the Convention, then, after a few slight of hand tricks, they are slated to go back to Jeb, or maybe Mitt.

BS on top of BS. Enough with the lies already.

The Colorado “tar baby” is what is stuck on Trump.

Colorado has shown Trump to be far from ready to handle any problems. Absolutely too soft-headed for the White House.

He makes Obama look skillful.

Smart move. Once in awhile, I followed a couple Glenn Beck shows; one here or there, in rebroadcast. Never had any money for gold, though. :)

Haven’t done that in about 3 years. Never saw much, never heard much.

Now, I just SMH at the crazy train he’s on.

I’m with you. Used to listen to Beck years ago. Listened to Rush since ‘89. Also would catch Levin.

Now, I listen to none of them, as all of them seem to be Cruz campaign commercials.

Why bother listening? I mean, you can listen to the real thing (Cruz), if you’re so inclined, on most cable news networks daily.

LOL. She was never a Cruz supporter. Trump supporters always try that on call ins and on line and anyone who knows both candidates can see right through them instantly.

Trump is riling up his base and alienating those not already for him. Whining and character assassination are not favored presidential attributes.

Really? To reach his level of business success, Trump had to become a master problem-solver. And right now, he is showing that skill by using the debacle in CO to illustrate just how corrupt the establishment (as personified in Cruz) is. And Cruz is dropping in the polls.

Doesn't it bother you in the slightest how corrupt and dishonest Cruz has shown himself to be? How on earth would president sleazy lawyer Cruz be any different than president sleazy lawyer Obama? I don't care how conservative Cruz pretends to be--how can someone so dishonest possibly be conservative?

Rubio hasn’t technically dropped out so they are still bound to him. Apparently, his disdain for Trump is great enough that he is being careful to not surrender those delegates, yet.

It is an interesting election year.

lol, I used to be a big Rush follower and faded because of not having a great way to follow.

I love that he has tried to be balance - even though he favors the true conservative and can’t help himself. I now use TuneIn radio to stream WSB in Atlanta as soon as Rush is on. It is fun to listen to him.

I can’t stand Hermain Cain and Sean Hannity right now. They are in bed with Trump and don’t try to hide it.

Trump has a successful business pattern and had a ton of start up capital from his dad.

He isn’t dumb, but he isn’t 150+ IQ like he claims.

Simple. The resolution the State GOP issued to deny Trump any delegates made it clear they were not going to change a dam thing. So why let the GOPe and media have ammo to mock with when it would have done no good to complain then?

Well, he's a $150,000,000 IQ, if you see what I mean. What does IQ even mean? Just marks you made on a piece of paper.

I have not heard him say anything about his IQ. I have high IQ, and so do most people I know (amazing how we all end up working together). Among all of these extremely smart people, I do not know of a single one who could have accomplished what Trump has.

It takes a lot of skills to accomplish what Trump has. The ability to negotiate, to manage people, to network, and so forth, at extremely high levels, is rare. That is why there are so few mega-rich: most people don't have the requisite skill combination.
