I have a VERY uncommon name, and there are FIVE of us in the US.

It’s a big country.

1/4 mile line of people waiting up to five hours to give blood at the local blood bank here in Vegas.

Americans are amazing...

And he knew to request a specific room/suite configuration to overlook the concert. He did not make a random reservation, he had to have investigated the floor layout.

Understood, and not to be overly facetious, but are you all asian?

Also, for the time being, the GF is still reported to be married to someone named Geary Danley. Which, if true, means that there is a “coincidence” of two last names and two first names.

You hang up the door sign that says "Do Not Disturb"

The Vegas Sherriff said "hotel personnel had previously entered the room and reported nothing untoward".

I was listening on the radio when he said it.... I had been wondering the same thing. Maybe, he just brought the guns in on the day before, or day of?

Lol now. We're not "Lee's" or "Kims". Just an old English name... pretty much all descended from ONE guy who came to America a VERY long time ago. (~1650)

I'm sure all will be known before too long.

Yes two bedroom suite with three separate angles of fire, two covering the festival area, and the third covered the exit route most would take.

If not him, whomever booked that room needs to be checked out thoroughly.

The cost may be less than you think. Rooms in Vegas can be quite reasonable, as the hotels just expect guests to lose $ in the casinos.

Agreed... I've heard the shooter was an MLife Platinum member. which means, he's regularly loses a LOT of money to the casino (Or, spends a LOT on one of their credit cards)

There's a good chance his room was 'comped' (ie: free) Or, at least offered at a good discount. But, I do think it's likely that he reserved this room quite some time ago. Could be 2-3 months ago.

The Vegas Sherriff said "hotel personnel had previously entered the room and reported nothing untoward".

Easily done by someone who had been planning this for months, which is the case as he had to have picked and reserved that specific room weeks in advance.

He could easily have had the guns broken down and stored in closed suit cases, and the "Shooting Platforms" most likely were pre-built and modular for easy concealment and quick assembly.

Possible he waited to the last day. He could have had everything in cases and gotten everything up to the room in one or two trips with a bellman’s cart. I have more bags with me when I am traveling with my wife...

“Where’d he get his money?”

Considering that he tried this stunt, it tells me that someone started funding him in 2013 when he bought that house.
Perhaps his GF was an ISIS plant. That gave him money and then threatened to kill the GF. If he agreed to a terror act, they will pay her after his death.

Yep. For the length of time he’d been staying there, he had a long thought out plan...where he could slowly bring in his ammo/weapons/platforms, etc with it looking like he was just bringing in small suitcases, etc.

Disassembled, an AK will fit into a regular suitcase. Staff would not be opening a guest's suitcases, if they were out of the way in a closet.

He could have kept his guns and ammo in suitcases in the trunk of his car. No hotel employee would think twice about a guest bringing suitcases from the garage to his room.

Exactly. Nothing out of place with a guy bringing in luggage/bags, from the garage, each time he returns....if they weren’t looking for it. I bet they’re scouring over those tapes, now.

The protocol is you can self park, check in and then bring whatever bags you want to your room. Have you been in a hotel recently where they check bags one by one at check in and in the other entrances from the garage. neither have I, not in the US. Try the King David in Jerusalem.
