She hung a Nazi flag in her antique shop. Now she’s getting death threats.

If you saw the flag in a WWII museum, would you throw a fit as well?

Funny how it’s the people who are trying to bring totalitarianism to the U.S. who are most upset by it. Perhaps they don’t want reminders of that history around that might help people connect the dots!?

Ill have a S-E grin on my face the rest of the day with that visual running endlessly through my mind. 8^)Good.
A little laughter at our age is good, even though we have more to frown about than smile about.
But what the hell, any day my feet touch the floor is cause for a S-E grin, right?

Amazing. My father survived WWII as a fighter pilot, and many of his friends and colleagues were shot down over Germany. He was never triggered by or melted when confronted with Nazi war memorabilia. Sure he didn’t think much of totalitarian, but that his the whole point that these neo-fascists miss.
To: Simon Green
This would not have happened if she had displayed some Bolshevik-era memorabilia. It would have been considered “cool” or - at worst, “edgy” - by most of the people protesting the Nazi flag.
To: DoughtyOne
Some of them are past that point and don't mind putting it right in our faces though.

Get all loosy-bowel over a damned piece of cloth.Yeah, it wasn't the symbol, the piece of cloth that killed people. It was a government and those who brought it to power and supported it, you know, like these leftist snowflakes and their quasi-fascist overlords here in the US.

How rude.
My grandfather was in a camp. All my great grandparents were murdered. My dad had to be sent out of the country (Germany) when he was 7 to save his life. For me, Nazi gear is personal. I admit it.
When I go to a museum I expect to see things like Nazi flags and worse. Ive seen the shoes made from Torah parchments, etc.
But an antique shop choosing to display without special comment Nazi memorabilia, Im out. Im surprised you blame me.

They can say they’re not Democrats, but we both know who they vote for.
It’s also true that they hold to the model of modern Democrat norms.
The Democrat party of this day, hands out insults and false charges all the time. And many times, those insults and charges could reasonably and quite accurately be applied to them, not the people they point at.
Here’s a supposed anti-Fascist flag, and it’s wielded by dedicated fascists.
