It wasn’t so long ago that people took a bath a week.
And survived.
The shower a day habit is not good for the skin.
People don’t need it.

There are still people ON THIS SITE who think that Cape Town is just fine.
Let’s see if they continue that tune after a year or two of ‘re-education’.

Well, it isn’t taking long for former nuclear power South Africa to descend into a third world ****hole.

Doubt it. I’ve seen lots of articles on the Capetown problem, not many on how the rest of the country is helping.

Have a temporary fix for the water shortage.
WATER BY RAIL
Bring in rail tanker cars full of water. We use to do this years ago.

Yep, they rejected Israeli offers to help with desalination. So, it stinks to be them.

Yes, he was and I post about it ALL the time, here, as well as talk about it in REAL LIFE.
The ANC always was and still IS a COMMIE party.
Whilst Mandela was president, he wanted Ramaphosa to replace him. That didn't happen ( Thabo Mbeki became president ), but he is president now. Ramaphosa was also a jailed TERRORIST and a STINKING COMMIE, whom "Saint Nelson" called "comrade" all the time...just like in the old Stalinist USSR.
And FYI...Ramaphosa is stinking rich and very corrupt!

That was the slogan N.Y.C. Mayor Ed Koch during a water shortage. I had never heard it before then.

Having visited South Africa several times...during apartheid and two years ago...I can attest to the fact that as of a couple of years ago it was very much a Third World African country with small pockets of Western civilization sprinkled in various spots.
With what I've seen...recently...I'm not even slightly surprised by one of their big cities literally running out of water.
Funny how Israel (just to name one country) never runs out of water.

As for flushing, which in the past would have used around six litres at a time, we have adopted the popular slogan: "If it's yellow let it mellow and if it's brown flush it down."TMI there...
They were offered help by the Israelis but they turned it down. They can live with the consequences.
