Rush loves NAFTA. NAFTA has helped to flood the US with mexicans. He threw his hat in with the globalist and their priorities long ago.

Government and big business want subsidized cheap imported labor. This type of collusion is called.....fascism.

Rush carried the water for Bushes NWO campaign. Rush has done a lot of damage to the Conservative cause in this respect. I wish he would retire before he brainwashes another generation into thinking “Free Trade”( misnomer ) is Conservative.

Check out the correlation with gdp trends. Granted, gdp isn’t the best metric for economic success, but it’s an indicator.

Japan’s economy remains on the edge of a disaster. As Mauldin puts it, a bug in search of a windshield.

If the population was growing they could work their way out of the problem.

Perot was a gun grabber, but was right on trade and the budget. Rush mocked him time and again about NAFTA and trade. Rush is exactly what Trump ran against.

Abortion HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. WE HAVE 320 MILLION PEOPLE IN THE USA. THAT'S THE ISSUE.

If being a christian means watching this once great country be overrun by third worlders as some form of pay back punishment then to hell with it all. The Bible is not a political suicide pact.

Rush is still a hesitant Trump supporter and never really gave a dam about gays in the military, the border invasion or trade rape. He was bought off a long time ago by the globalists he plays golf with.

Here are Japan population numbers—
1976 = 114 million
1989 = 124 million
2002 = 128 million
2015 = 127 million

As I understand Japanese immigration laws, people from densely populated Asian countries are allowed to come to Japan to work, but they are not allowed to stay forever.

The laws are probably more complicated than that, but the essence of their immigration policy is to maintain a Japanese culture.

I personally find Japan as near the top of all countries to visit. You may want to move it higher on your bucket list.

I think I will! Thanks for the info.

Your description of their immigration policy matches my impression (I haven’t really dug in).

Do your pop numbers include “temporary” workers?

If you are serious about an answer, here it is: Demographics. The boomers are out of the workforce and they are living longer than their parents. Many of whom are still alive and sucking the medical coffers dry.

Young couples are having kids anymore.

Without immigration, we would shrink in like a black hole.

I do not know if the numbers include non-Japanese workers. I gleaned the numbers from:

While the government has opened its doors to professionals specializing in information technology and other specific fields, it does not officially welcome unskilled laborers to avoid public debates on immigration, which has long been a sensitive issue.

Another reason why Japan is likely doing the right policy on immigration. Robots.

Why is the USA bringing unskilled labor to do jobs that increasingly being done by robots? If the automakers can make a self-driving car or truck, then think about how easy it will be to have self-driving farm machinery do the work that now requires a person to sit and steer for hours on end.

Foreigners could ease Japan’s labor shortage, but Tokyo prefers robots

I agree that the US has immigration policy wrong. Common sense says that we should want talented, educated people (in the hard sciences), who want to be financially rewarded by creating true value.

Entrepreneurs.

I find it fascinating that Japan is creating robots to keep people company instead of making more people. ;)

“Companies are just fine if Government gives them their $$ — as long as they reap the profits without getting stuck with the tax bill.”

This is why I no longer support tax cuts and pro business legislation. If they are going to spend the money like it is being spent, run the media as it is being run and turn our country into a third world toilet and over to the Dems to get cheap labor, then they should pay more taxes instead of less. They need to help us (for once) or they can just shove it.

Why do we need more people? Because the ideas given birth by the Coward-Piven unholy alliance are still being followed.
