While Conservatives across the nation were trying to participate in getting just a few more people to support Trump to avoid Hillary becoming president, Levin was telling millions not to.

Once again, if we had acted like Levin, Cruz, and Beck did in 2016, Hillary would be president today.

What does a guy have to do to convince you he isn’t on your side, if Levin didn’t accomplish that in 2016?

Again, he switched in sept before the election. It’s not like I listen to him or any talking head anyway, I just read stuff on here when it’s posted.

That being said, I forgive him. But if I was playing poker with him, I would always cut the cards.

LOL - good one.

Are you morally spotless or like everyone else, guilty of betrayal, stupidity, lies, etc? Of course you’re guilty, and by your logic, anyone who forgives you is a useful idiot since you’ll only betray, etc. when it suits you.

Levin was against Trump during the primaries...so was I (wanted Ted Cruz), but I jumped on the Trump train after the first debate...Levin made a mistake and he admitted it. Some NeverTrumpers are still against Trump.

To be fair, you can’t hold someone accountable unless there were worthy standards or laws to which one was pledged or expected to follow.

At the time, Levin had heard of the dossier.

Rush left on vacation a month and a half before the general election and his stand in had his “former NSA analyst” friend on. The friend maintained Trump and Hillary were both compromised by the Russians, but Hillary knew it and Trump didn’t and that Trump was comparatively far worse off than we could possibly imagine.

Everyone was working from Hillary’s dossier on Trump - even “our side.”

Thanks rb22982.

Same here. I used to listen to him once in a while. I used to have a pretty good deal of respect for him.

I was a huge Cruz guy and unfortunately switched to Trump as my ballot was in the mail for the primary. I’m still big on both of them. Don’t know why people around here are so hard to forgive. Our enemies are the Democrats.

That dossier didn’t play any part in my decision making process. It not for an instant seemed within the range of possibility to me.

As soon as I knew McCain was involved, it was DOA.

“We have big battles ahead and need to follow Trump’s example and welcome those who are on board now.”

True!

The way I see it, there’s only one way to make 2020 a Reagan style landslide for Trump, and that’s to welcome the support of 20 or 30 million people who did NOT vote for him in 2016.

These are exactly the people we want to get on the Trump Train. I say make room for them, offer them a seat, welcome them with kind words and open arms.

If we turn up our noses out of spite and shame them for getting it wrong in 2016, that’s no different then Clinton calling us “the deplorables” or Obama calling us “the bitter clingers”.

We can form an exclusive club of early Trump supporters and exclude anyone who wasn’t on board before a certain date - I’m sure there are a lot of FReepers who would like that - but that’s no way to spark a landslide in 2020.

Rush, Levin et all have been 'gas lighting' Conservatives into thinking libertarians are conservative. They are not.

Most Libertarians are clearly not, nor are they actually libertarian, but there is a lot of common ground with right-libertarians.

I’ve listened to Rush for as long as he has neen on.

What Rush did was insult his listeners who supported Trump by referring to Trump and his supporters using derogatory names..

Look it up yourself. I know what happened Iwas listening as a lot here on FR were

So you don’t have ONE, SINGLE direct quote from Rush advocating against Trump? Just your hurt ‘feelings’ because he jokingly referred to early Trump supporters as “trumpettes’ I’m guessing. We were all just discovering who Trump was. Adults knew that there was nothing deep seated in Rush’s humorous language. You’re obviously from the line of sensitive pirates.

Too bad you actually do not listen to Rush. If you had been listening then you would know of what speak. Many here know what I’ve said is true.

Rush was not joking about the names he used for Trump or his supporters.

Also, enough people knew that he wasn’t joking and his thread is now empty. Go back and read the old threads, do your own research, I and others know what the truth is.

Is this you Rush, I know you lurk here.

Mark Levin has seen the light. Indeed, he saw it before the 2016 election. We need to welcome those who have seen the error of their ways into the MAGA fold. Since President Trump's inauguration, Levin has been a staunch defender of this administration on many critical issues. Levin has given credit where credit is due, and We The Deplorables should do likewise.

Our perpetual scorn should be reserved for those who still refuse to acknowledge reality—that Donald J. Trump was the right candidate to defeat Hillary Clinton, and that (despite his flaws) he has been exemplary thus far as the 45th President of the United States...

Know what? His job, 24/7, is to get his punditry right. He got the biggest political decision, maybe in the last 50 years, dead wrong.

As Mark Levin himself noted in the article you linked to, he was rallying support for then-candidate Donald J. Trump for a good 2 months ahead of the general election. Levin therefore deserves credit for helping during the lead up to November 2016—when it counted most...

“Mark Levin Will Vote for Trump After Previous ‘Never Trump’ Declaration”

Sept 07, 2016

http://insider.foxnews.com/2016/09/07/radio-host-mark-levin-says-hell-end-voting-donald-trump

Correct—Mark Levin "flip flopped" (changed his mind, in other words—Lord have mercy!) 2 full months before the general election. After repudiating his #NeverTrump stance, in early September, there was ample time for him to make a tangible, positive impact, and thereby make amends.

I could see castigating Mark Levin if he tried to help Hillary in the 2016 general election, but, tomy sensibilities, anyone who threw their support behind Donald J. Trump before Election Day 2016 certainly deserves the benefit of the doubt—especially influential public figures in the conservative movement such as Mark Levin.

Consequently, I see nothing but sour grapes from those who insist on holding a grudge—an irrational one which ignores the fact that Mark Levin fought (and fought hard) for Donald Trump for 2 months straight in the run up to November 8, 2016...

He’s supposed to be a leader in conservative thought. As such, he should be aware of who the Clintons are and what would happen with her in charge. Therefore I question what possessed him to trash Trump and thus support Crooked Hillary for President?

What changed his mind in September 2016? I am sceptical it was done because of principles.
