How about this for a fix? Instead of a nameless apparatchik citing ‘rules’ or ‘standards’, REQUIRE that these public carriers / quasi-monopolies have a real person take responsibility for the handling of this complaint. Name, Position, telephone and email address attached to the response.
Right now, these companies have no leash and no responsibility beyond their management. Give us names of these ‘deciders’ and they will soon find that their failures can result in law suits and the like. They are enjoying their right to make money but they have no RESPONSIBILITY for and to the consumer. Time to change that!
