If there is BabCOCK ice cream, doesn’t fairness demand that they serve BabPUSSY ice cream as well?
I was thinking of another word...................
It’ll only happen if 2/3 of the US population is wiped out in a war and then the 1/3 will get real serious about survival. A raw fight for survival has a tendency to relegate issues like gelatin in the ice cream being unfair to Jews and Buddhists to their rightful importance.
When will somebody tell these people to pound sand?
all flavors mix together. Call it “X” cream.
But will everybuddy get Two Scoops?
We need to investigate the schools we send our children to for higher education more thoroughly. Obviously these people have too much time on their hands, and must create things to do with it.
No it’s not. It’s asking that a food which normally does not contain beef by products be offered without beef by products. Nowhere is it stated they asked (demand) the school stop serving food that you would expect to find beef in, such as pot roast or hamburgers or chili con carne.
“Isnt ice cream not inclusive of people with lactose intolerant? 65% of the worlds population is lactose intolerant.”
If we don’t see five toes on each of those feet we are going out on strike.
Perhaps it's not just a "generation," but it is definitely a subset among several generations whose Creator-endowed abilities have been severely impacted and/or impaired by that ideology which self-identifies as Progressive. Consider the above statements and compare with the following advice which is summarized and widely known among a variety of religious followers for centuries:
What is hateful to you, do not to your fellow man. That is the entire Law; all the rest is commentary. (Jewish)
No one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself. (Islamic)
Surely it is the maxim of loving-kindness: do not unto others what you would not have done unto you. (Confucian)
All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the law and the prophets. (Christian)
Regard your neighbors gain as your own gain and your neighbors loss as your own loss. (Taoist)
Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful. (Buddhist)
That nature alone is good which refrains from doing unto another whatsoever is not good for itself.(Zoroastrian)
This is the sum of duty: Do naught unto others which would cause you pain if done to you. (Brahman)

If your religious beliefs prevent you from eating ice cream, your religion is a hoax.
I agree that it’s sensible. I just didn’t need the bombastic social justice lecture the student council felt virtuous in making about it.
“the Babcock, contains a beef gelatin additive, which according to the legislation, renders certain communities such as the Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist,”
They got that right for Hindus and some Buddhists but isn’t it pork that is a no no for Jews?
Cannot mix meat and dairy.
Would they know how to make such a request without including bombastic social justice lecture? Sadly, I think not.
They are not prevented from eating ice cream. Their religious beliefs prevent them from eating beef and beef by products.
Kosher dietary laws to forbade the mixing of meat and dairy. I know there is kosher gelatin which this may be even though it is from beef. Something to do with the processing.
So they just eat something else.
No big deal.

You would not be stupid to think ice cream should not have beef in it.
= = =
Well, these ARE smart college students, and they DO know that that ice cream has beef in it.
I want to know, in five years time, where all these individuals are in life.
Should be a REAL eye opener.
