It’s the same in Ca of course, And they already made the comment that the damage cost is more than what they can cover from their own liability fund. So this means they will be forced to have more coverage.
All I was pointing out is that Edison didn’t indicate this as the actual need for the increased rates. So while claiming they need to increase rates for infrastructure the added income will instead go into liability coverage instead.
This isn’t going to prevent fires as they claim, because there will not be any improvements actually being done. All it’s going to do is increase their “cover their butt” fund for when their equipment starts the next one.

In your opinion, how much has the federal forest service in California done to block building fire break roads, clear forest floor fuel build-up and restrict logging?
