Sadly it comes to this.....I never understood how some people get their feathers in a wad over talking on a forum. Seen it happen on many forums for years....it just isn’t worth it. Back away from the mouse and the computer and take a walk outside or something. I had a friend once tell someone in a middle of a fight....I am stopping talking right now because you and I will just walk away thinking we are the right one.

Thank you, Jim. I have been dismayed at the profanity and vulgarity that has been steadily increasing on FR. I know people are frustrated and hopping mad and discouraged by what’s been going on in our country, in general, and our government, specifically, but imho, lowering ourselves to that kind of language, diminishes us. There are many who will disagree with me on this issue, and that’s their prerogative, but I, for one, appreciate your post, and the reminder it contains.

I go back & forth between Free Republic and Reddit's The_Donald. I don't bring their crude memes over to FR even though they make me laugh sometimes. T_D is sort of a raunchy frat boys' version of FR. Every website has its own personality and unique qualities. FR is the best for hard news and analysis. You and your staff do an amazing job of keeping it user friendly and focused on core values. I spend a good part of my day here. Always enjoy the wit and sarcasm of my FRiends. :)
