In my younger days, there was a little “daredevil” in me but not so much these days. LOL
I hear ya! Caution is the word now. Darn it!
How was the weather there todaiy? We had clouds and some slow rain, but it didn’t amount to much that I know of.
Yeah, we’re old enough now to not want to take a shot at receiving a Darwin Award. LOL
It was another nice day, a touch cooler than yesterday but still nice. Got some more stuff out to the burn pile to get rid of it permanently, then started getting cleaned up and dealing with the cat stuff so I could get out of here for a Christmas party this evening.
Catching up on the day’s news now since I wasn’t able to earlier. Lots to catch up on.
Glad you got some rain today! Every little bit helps and slow rain soaks in.
We’ll have rain Thurs. into Fri. and they say it’ll change over to sleet, then snow as it heads out of here. Wunnerful.

Glad you had some decent weather, especially for the burning of junk and the fact that it’ll get nasty later on this week. Ugh!
How was the Christmas party? Lots of fun had by all?
H!!Yes, it’s been nice having pretty weather after the crummy weather we’ve had lately. Having NO WIND has been a plus so we could burn that pile of pecan tree debris. With it being so close to the house, we needed to be careful.
The wood was still pretty green but with us piling on junk from the house to keep it stoked, it’s almost gone now. It was a HOT fire.
At least with this warm stretch, we won’t have an accumulation Friday and that’s a plus. It shouldn’t snow long any way and the high temp for the day will be well above freezing.
The party was fun. It was a smaller turnout than other years but we still had a good time. This afternoon, Hubby asked if I thought others would like some mistletoe and I said they probably would. He came back in a few minutes later and asked if he had enough. The had a flippin’ BUSH in his hands! LOL! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a clump of mistletoe that large before. I don’t know which tree he got it from but it was low enough he was able to cut it rather than shoot it out of a tree. All the clumps I’ve seen here are waaaaaay up in the trees.
Everyone got what they wanted and I left the rest at the bar. The bartender is going to put it up around the bar and give some to those who ask for it.
It was set up beautifully. Had to go for it. :-)

The NO WIND is the best part. That has been the good thing around here lately too. The 50s temps are quite comfortable without wind to make it feel colder.
Glad the party was fun. Sounds like there’s gonna be a lot of kissing going on with all that mistletoe. LOL!

I hope you had another pleasant day for chasing Gizmo around. Won’t be much longer before it’s too cold to spend much time at the lakes.
We had nice weather yesterday. I think we have another nice day today. It may get a little windy Thursday but not as bad last week.
50s is what we’re enjoying, too, and it’s not bad at all without wind. I imagine it’ll start picking up sometime tomorrow ahead of the cold front bringing the rain. Be nice if it waits until after the grocery store run. :-)
Heck, there was kissing going on tonight. LOL! A long-time friend was in town to take his mom out to eat and he stopped by the bar after he took her back home. He snipped off a large sprig of mistletoe and made the rounds among our group. :-)
