Nancy.... have a come to Jesus with Hillary and tell her whats about to happen.
Theyre smart enough, but they are ignorant. I blame a lack of civics classes.
Hush up! Maxine thinks it requires being someone of a different race and gender from hers whom she hates for any personal reason. That's grounds, right?
Nancy is a tiny bit above Maxine in awareness of the Constitution. She knew the Founders "had to pass it in order to read what's in it" so she isn't going to bother reading it.
Too long.
Author's take. Here is the relevant portion of the article.
Despite Pelosis subtle shift in tone, theres still an element of hesitancy for pursuing impeachment. Its seemingly rooted in her concern for the American peoples mental capacity, or lack thereof. There is a large gulf between saying that people don't understand that impeachment is not immediate removal from office (a common misconception) and saying that they are stupid. There is no reason for the author to mischaracterize like that.Pelosi reportedly made the remarks during a closed-door members meeting following Memorial Day weekend, according to the Daily Beast, who reported:
The Speaker, according to two sources with knowledge of the meeting, expressed concerns that the public still doesnt understand how the process of impeachment would play out. She noted that in her time over the recess in California well educated voters didnt seem to understand that impeachment proceedings would not necessarily result in Trumps immediate ouster from office.
But 16 year olds should be allowed to vote.
Yep, yer voters are real smart.
Nancy saw the class listing and rejected it. "What do I need to learn about Hondas for? Let the guys learn the car stuff."
I agree. Shes probably right. Most of the democrat voters are probably wondering whats the hold up? They probably think all impeachment is is a simple vote in the house and Trump is out. They probably have no clue about there being a trial in the senate and the fact they need a two-thirds majority to convict. So-shes right. The average dim voter is probably thinking they have enough votes in the house to just remove Trump from office tomorrow and they are confused as to why that hasnt happened yet.
“We have to impeach him before we can find out what he did wrong”...
Typical attitude of tyrants - the people are too stupid to run their own lives.
“Shes definitely not smart enough to understand it.”
I would say she ain’t real smart or rather that she is not highly intelligent. On the other hand smart is not the determining factor, she is crooked enough to pretend to believe that the constitution says whatever she thinks it should say and if her opinion of what it should say changes then she will pretend to understand it in a new way which agrees with her new objectives. She will say that she has “grown” in her understanding and learned that even though she has changed her goals she now realizes that the constitution was in line with her new thinking before she even got her thoughts sorted out. If she decides that she should be the new Queen of this country with unlimited and unquestionable power she will miraculously find the constitution is fully in agreement with her new powers. Should she decide that she is able to flap her skinny arms and fly the constitution will, to the amazement of even Nancy herself, contain wording that says she can do just that but she will still crash and burn.
According to two separate sources, Pelosi said it during a closed door meeting.
Other Democrats in the House leadership have spoken of the need to “educate” the America people about impeachment.
Yes. Pride
“.. Speaker Nancy Pelosi said President Trump was “engaged in a cover-up” when he declassified documents...”
Now THAT I don’t understand...
The High Crime is winning an election over their pick.
The public isn’t smart enough to know that Pelosi was being entirely non-political in 1998 when she cast 4 “No” votes against holding Rapin Bill Clinton responsible for his CLEAR felonies, and that she’s going to be entirely non-political when she casts a “Yes” vote for the phony accusations against President Trump.
Yes, this effing POS hypocrite - Pelosi's lawn jockey:
One of the more onerous misconceptions in the Democratic arguments and it is used in more than just this case, is the other side needs to be “educated” with the underlying assumption the other side is ignorant of enough information to understand the issue, and all they have to do is present “facts” to win someone over.
I’ve been hearing about the articles of impeachment for Nixon on MSLSD (Rachel Maddow and others) without saying Nixon was not impeached, and those articles were not part of an actual impeachment. He resigned. Nixon was also party to a crime cover up. His polls were down to 29% IIRC and would probably have been impeached and possibly removed. PDJT has not been effected negatively. I believe it is because all the process “crimes” are not related to the initial allegation which was serious, but proven false. I believe Americans are smart enough to know the difference between a process “crime” and a real “high crime or misdemeanor”. No amount of “education” will change the truth. Literally the Democrats did not deliver on Russian Collusion (or conspiracy) and they do not accept their own failure.
It will play well with the base, unaccepted by the Republicans and no real good info on the independents. I suspect the information is out there but unreported as it is probably the real reason for Speaker Pelosi’s reluctance until there is movement which may not happen.
If the “education” does not work, then they may not even have enough democrats in the house to vote yea on impeachment which would be a democratic disaster right before the election which all house members will be running for reelection.
DK
They're also confused about the smell coming from their filled adult diapers, and why their Mom or their nurse hasn't changed it yet...
Trump supporters are beating their shields and doing Viking warrior chants.
The Democrat Media isn't going to fool us this time.
