“And the left rejoice!”
They shouldn’t, the NRA has been helping them with the Red Flag laws.
What irritates the hell out of me, (30-yr member) is that there has been no statement or clarification over what is going on. When Ollie North departed amid accusations that senior management was misusing funds, there was no explanation, justification, reply, nothing.
I want to know what is going on, and if the NRA wants my continued support, management must bring in an outside group to complete a thorough financial audit.
And the results must be made available to the membership!
Agree, 100%.
Sean Maloney is a good one as well.
He started a, Concealed carry insurance, company called Second Call Defense.
When the NRA was about to unveil their version called Carry Guard, they disinvited Second Call Defense from the NRAAM a couple of years ago.
THEN, when Carry Guard needed underwriters, they kinda stole the one that Second Call Defense was using.
Bunch of underhanded actions happened. Maloney was quite cheesed off about it.

“The NRA has a checkered record when it comes to defending gun rights and anyone can succumb to corruption.”
The NRA lost it’s brains when Neal knox was driven out. We didn’t get much in return. My opinion: For an organization that has been around since 1871 and for those with a view of history, that would encompass the era in which every Congressional Act or Bill affecting “shall not be infringed” has taken place and in which the NRA was actively involved or at best voting present to include 1934 NFA, The Gun Control Act of 1968 and the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986, which essentially banned machine guns produced after 1985.
That said the NRA is about all their is with significant membership and Credibility, but as has been said, their true worth is somewhat questionable. I suggest reading “The Gun Rights War” compiled by Chris Knox, which covers the history of much of what took place between 1966 and the year 2000.
I know the NRA has made errors but overall they’ve done a good job defending the 2nd Amendment.
Poppycock, or BS take your pick or see my #46
