It's hard to know the real story about these things early on because there are no real reporters anymore. They all just sit at their desks and pass on rumors they see on their computers.
If any of them would get off their butts and do their jobs, we might actually know what really happened.
No kidding. Early headlines this afternoon said 3 in custody. Who knows. I’ll wait for news in the morning after some facts have been collated.

I saw an aerial shot which shows that the Walmart is an adjacent property. The report I just saw but can’t find the link to also states that the shooting occurred in the Walmart.
But I’ll wait for facts to come in the morning, including on their policy.

More likely an ANTIFA supporter.
I was watching the local CBS affiliate during the incident. All the "man on the scene" had to say was about how he had a lot of phone notifications, he didn't know anything, etc. The news anchor was taking about a half hour of various interviews with local politicians. Worthless.
After all of these mass shootings, the press, immediately blames it on Republicans until the facts finally all come out.
Disgracefully, the Irishman Mexican, Flailing Arms Beto, called Trump a racist yesterday and placed all of the blame on him for the El Paso Walmart attacks. Not one mention that the killer may have been personally responsible for the entire disaster, instead of projecting it off onto a politician Beto doesn't like.
Over time, we will eventually find out this guy's motivations for killing so many people, but until then, the media would do themselves a big favor by not going into Beto-mode immediately.

As someone who spent a career in a semi-related field, I always say, “first reports are always wrong, or at least not correct enough.”
