Having them resign was probably not the intent, just an added bonus. It’s nice when the swamp drains itself.
They got a little civics lesson on who gets to make foreign policy (and who doesn't)
So they have well-paying JOBS FOR LIFE, and they ‘resign’ (and I guess go on welfare) because they aren’t allowed to funnel money to a corrupt government halfway around the world?

There are only 3 reasons that people leave those kinds of Civil Service jobs:
1) They retire.
2) They are killed (if tied to the Clintons, as in Barbara Wise).
3) They are offered a much higher paying job by CNN (if they were coup plotters and now need money for legal bills)
But NO!!! They don’t ‘resign’ from those jobs over something like aid to a corrupt government (unless that government was kicking back some of the money to them).
We are, once again, getting played here.
UNLESS THEY were getting KICKBACKS from this money and didn't want it to stop!!

This is absurd this is like me resigning from my job because my CEO won’t release funds to build a factory in Malaysia.

I’ve been working on this Ukraine aid package, and I really don’t want to put this on Joan before I leave cause it’s pretty complicated and it might take a few weeks for her to get up to speed. I sure wish that State would give us the OK to close the books on this. Do you know what’s holding up the payments?
Joe: I’m not sure, but I heard that the President is concerned that the money could find its way into the hands of some crooked Oligarchs and then be used to bribe politicians here and in Europe. He has until September 30 to release the funds per the Appropriation so I guess you will just have to retire before that happens.
Fred: Bummer.
