I’m about as pro-Trump as you can get. He was my choice for the GOP nomination the instant he declared. And he is probably the last hope for the Republic. But there’s one aspect of him that I just don’t understand. Why make enemies when you don’t have to?
Trump is a savvy businessman. So I can’t believe he’d, say, insult the wife of a union leader during a contract negotiation. The downside of that would be much greater than any upside.
I’m not against bare-knuckles politics. For example, Trump calling Jeb Bush “low energy” was very effective. But sometimes I wonder if Trump is weighing all the benefits before letting the insults fly.

Yep, Trump considered them friends. There is a clip somewhere showing Trump going on their show, and MIka is all flirty with him, and smiling as she brushes his hair into place. Next thing you know, Trump starts gaining traction, and Joe and Mika are attacking him like he's their bitterest enemy. After that Trump then mentioned the their trip to Mar-a-Lago after Mika's facelift.
I remember Rush talking about this when it happened. He said Trump was not used to seeing people with whom he he was friends turn on him the way the Morning Jokes did.

He had been saying a lot of positive things about Trump early on. That could have been because he wanted the Republicans to lose and thought Trump was a sure-fire loser, but they were friends and friendly. They had a falling out after Trump became the likely nominee, but they were friendly again for a little bit later on. Then something happened at Mar-a-lago. We still don't know what.
The only people who would listen to him are the people who already listen to him, which isn’t that many, so good luck with that.
