Agreed. My feeling about this also has a lot of Senators not wanting any further discussion or exposure of what’s gone on in the Ukraine over the last number of years because dollars to doughnuts, it certainly was not just Biden up to his neck in scandal and intrigue in that country.
He should also demand that they turn over full, unredacted transcripts of all testimony that was given behind closed doors in Adam Schiff's secret police-state inquiry. If they fail to do this, the Democrats should be told they will call NO witnesses at all.

I am thinking if he does get the 4, he may ultimately end up regretting it because they will all come out and say that they need to hear as much as they can. That opens the door to Hunter and Joe Biden and I don’t think they can endorse democrat witnesses without also voting for all witnesses.

My gut has been telling me that President Trump wants a full blown trial in the Senate. None of the evidence is against him, and he wants to present real evidence against the coup plotters in a legal proceeding while the whole world watches. We'll see...

It would be nice to get Joe Manchin to declare against impeachment..However, what Schumer is doing is to make it appear that 4 Senators have the power to force McConnell to call witnesses. They do not. Even if the 4 Senators force a full trial, McConnell will allow the witnesses (if any) that he wants. Schumer is trying to repaint the argument..that is what slimeballs do...
Barring a miracle, they do. It can be safely presumed that they have Romney. That cuts it to three. They have the Bobbsey Twin girls. That leaves only one. There is still a number of Never Trumpers to pick from. Others know their names. I do not. What I do know is the history of the Republican Party. That is why I suspect skulduggery and treachery from the Republicans to occur somewhere down the line.
The Democrats are trying to convict Trump for crimes he “might” commit in the future. It reminds me of the movie “Minority Report”, starring Tom Cruise...
I’m beginning to agree that McConnell’s quick dispatch plan is the way to go. Dragging this out has no value — and probably some danger owing to Democrat shenanigans. McConnell will take crap no matter what he decides. Getting this behind them has more value than not.
