I merely commented on the spirit in which I do certain things. Then you misinterpreted, and you even wondered why I didn’t capitalize “spirit,” and then I explained to you that I was consciously speaking of spirit generically, as coming from me.

You might be concerned about other posters seeing your dishonesty, and if so, perhaps it’s a valid concern.

But what will last much longer is my personal experience with you in the past couple of days. Your character has been illustrated in your posts to me and I will remember it. It’s unfortunate, because I’ve considered you a thoughtful person and our interactions go back many years, though in all likelihood you don’t remember me.

Fortunately, the nature of our world is such that second chances, though not free, are nevertheless still available.

The phrase "the fruit of the Spirit" is a well-known Christian reference. Hence, I took your choice of those words to *be* a reference to such. This being the internet, people are often slipshod with capitalization and punctuation and such.

I will apologize for the over-reaction: but I will also re-read your posts for factual content.

The issue of the virus is that there are two equal and opposite errors.

"Flu-bros" and "We're all gonna DIE"

And, there are those seeking to exploit each of the above, for their own purposes.

Dems hoping for the same, so they can blame Trump.

People noting that there have been viral/sickness scares every couple of years for the past 20 years or so, and who have grown cynical.

"We're all gonna DIE!" might be, or might be leveraged by:

Those in high-risk groups, or those with loved ones in those groups

Those who wish to exploit the virus to attack civil liberties (e.g. the Mayors in Indiana and Louisiana suspending gun rights)

Those who want socialism / Communism (AOC, Bernie)

Those who are watching only the reaction from China and who think that China has covered up massive deaths from the virus: which need not follow, given the relative lack of death elsewhere in the world.

IF you have mistaken me for a "We're all gonna DIE!" -bot, and were rhetorically exaggerating in an attempt to bring me to my senses, I comprehend; my objection is that I am not myself one of them -- I am worried about a repeat of Italy where critical care facilities get overwhelmed, and about the supply-chain from China.

That being said I think the best scientific evidence indicates that this virus was manually engineered: that is not to say it was in the intended final form when released; nor that it was released in the manner its planners wanted to.

Thank you. For an intelligent and thoughtful post reflecting your habitual style, written with a tone I take to mean you no longer think I could possibly be employed by the entity postulated in your initial post #155 to me. If you even believed it then, lol.

As for the different categories of COVID-19 commentators, I’m in the one that is skeptical of many information sources (fully rejecting those of the media and deep state) and open to the potential truth of most conspiracy theories set in a reasonable context (e.g., a context that the cia could have conspired to kill JFK given his stated determination to scatter them to the winds, or that LBJ might have agreed with the plot given that he would be successor to the presidency—that’s what I mean by reasonable context).
