I don’t know why you find this scenario so ridiculous. One thing Trump NEVER did as a presidential candidate was tell ordinary Americans that they were morons — for supporting Obama, for example.

Yes, this is a “war” to him. That’s because he’s operating in an environment where millions of Americans are acting like there’s a zombie apocalypse unfolding, and the nation’s economy is in ruins over the resulting financial panic. If he doesn’t “do something,” he’s toast.

And what are the huge initiatives the Federal government will be taking to win this “war?” Well, it will spend lots of money (he’s always been fine with that) and will move mountains to — uh, “flatten the curve.” Yeah, that sounds like a major military effort to me.
