Trying to convince my wife took 25 years :)
Hey there, Kathy.
Yes, we had a nicer day today and almost made it to 70. Dry, too, until after sunset. Now rain is moving through sporadically.
Just watched the weather report and they SAY we’ll have THREE days in a row later this week with NO RAIN and temps in the upper 70s. Now THAT’S some spring weather we’re looking forward to!
Yes, Jasper is making friends pretty quickly. A couple of the cats still hiss at him a little but most get along fine with him.
I had the airport cam up earlier this afternoon and you did have a gorgeous day up there. Bet you’ll be glad when there’s no ice left to chip away!
Did you manage to get everything you need from the office today?
Shoot, there’s usually more piled on the bed. LOL! They aren’t crowding me right now because I’m sitting at the desk, not in the bed.
It was really nice to have a little sunshine today. It was filtered through high, thin clouds - no blue skies - but it was still pretty bright.
They SAY we’ll be rain-free Wed., Thurs., and Fri. with temps close to 80. I’m sooooooo ready for that! We have to get through a stormy Tues. first.
The museum guy doesn’t feel bad as far as I know. But the company he works for has him working from home for now since he was in Seattle for a week or so. Better safe than sorry.
Yeah, Seattle isn’t a good place to have visited lately. Hope he turns out ok. It sure would scare me!
Great that you’ll have some real warm weather later this week. Maybe it’ll dry out a bit and your poor farmers can start their work in the fields.
It wasn’t the best timing for him to be sent there, but then he’s been sent overseas lately too.
Most of the people who work where he does aren’t working right now but they aren’t lucky enough to be able to work from home. Can’t do that very well when you work on production lines.
Yup, some dry days will be VERY welcome around here. Farmer’s are antsy to get into their fields to get ready to plant. In a way, we aren’t looking real forward to our fields being prepped because the guy who does the farming has a mountain of chicken poop at the edge of Hubby’s cousin’s farm next door. He’ll spread that as soon as he’s able and it’s going to STANK!!!! Then we’ll be praying for rain to help wash it into the soil. LOL!!! Thank goodness he doesn’t do this every year. It’s awful!
But the crops sure do love it.
I married into a family of hoarders and Hubby definitely has the gene. LOL!
Moving into the other, newer house on the farm has many plusses and one is it was empty. We’ve moved what we need over here and none of the rooms are cluttered - - other than his. He knows if he leaves anything lying around outside his room, it WILL get tossed in the trash and burned. With relish. LOL
I doubt he’ll ever change. I just have to keep some control of the situation in the house.
If you got your wife to change her ways, you are lucky!
EEUUWW....that is gonna be one stinky field. Hope the prevailing wind sends it away from your house. You won’t be able to enjoy open windows with that wafting through the air. LOL!
No such luck. We’re surrounded by the fields so there’s no escaping the stench. Windows stay shut until it’s gone.
And we don’t step outside any more than we have to. LOL
Good evening, rs...that Medal of Honor is so special, and for a special man.
Don’t blame you at ALL!
How's everyone doing this morning?
At the rate things are going, it’ll be a while before we have to endure the stink. They said we could expect around a half inch of rain with this round and I’d say they’re quite a bit off on that prediction. It’s coming down hard and there’s a lot more coming. Nice thunderstorm going on at the moment and more to follow.
Then Tues. we’ll have heavier rain and storms so I doubt the ground will dry by the end of the week, even with three dry days.
Oh, and WOOHOO! Ya slid in and snagged it1
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Did you have another sunny day for your outing with Gizmo?
Doggone it! I was hoping that you’d have a bit of a dry spell so you could put away your gills and fins. Maybe the 3 days will be extended...we can hope.
Nope. Two wet days before we get the three dry days. Severe storms expected Tues. as the warm front comes through. This first round has turned out to be stouter than they predicted. I’m glad Jasper is inside because the wind’s blowing every which-way and his blanket on the carport was getting wet. It’s in the garage now, drying out.
I’ll bet you aren’t as glad as Jasper is. Kitties just don’t like to be wet. Or cold. He’s in a very good place.
Guess I’d better go. 7:30 felt very early this morning, and I’m sleepy now. See ya mañana!
Quite a few people out fishing yesterday. Thankfully still complying with the 6 FT CDC guidelines.
Pics from yesterday's visit:
Jasper is very content tonight. Last time we had thunderstorms, he was still outside and begging to be let in. If I hadn’t been getting ready to go to bed I’d have let him in but no way was I going to do it and not be awake to monitor things.
Willow and Lorien are two lumps under the bedspread. LOL
I’m surprised you made it as late as you did since you had to get up so early. Sleep well and sleep late. :-)
You must have been tuckered out by the time you got home. Gizmo dragged you all over the place. LOL
The wet stuff is all over here now so y’all should have nice weather for today’s outing. We have one thunderstorm after another coming through and a LOT of rain, and it looks like it’ll continue through the day.
