In other words, my taxes as a New Yorker are going up again. Never mind that Cuomo is hoarding supplies for NYC— damn upstate and damn the rest of the country. Mark my words, 6 months after this is over we will find a hoard of PPE’s, supplies, probably even some ventilators in some warehouse unused in NY. Cuomo closed hospitals and allowed many to become understaffed and run down. One hospital in NYC with a lot of deaths, well my niece lives nearby for the cheap rent and would only ever step foot inside if near death. Cuomo is demanding supplies from upstate hospitals while they deal with their own shortages. My parents are 20 miles from a hospital because Cuomo closed two closer ones down.

Not only the wealthiest city in America. New York banks and investment houses have controlled most of the distribution of private capital in the United States since the founding. New York poured capital into developing the western states after the Civil War leaving the newly freed slaves and defeated white population in economic devastation for decades. In the 1990’s the New York bankers shifted investment capital overseas, and encouraged their multinational corporation clients to do likewise, resulting in the deindustrialization of America.

If Cuomo has a beef about the amount of pork his state isn’t getting he should be talking to his New York Senator, who happens to be the minority leader in the Senate.
