I purchase military rations from all over the world. I’ve gotten them from China, Russia, South Korea, the Ukraine, Great Britain, etc. Beginning only a few days ago, I cannot find ANY Chinese rations. Not on EBay, not on Amazon. However, I can find other Chinese goods such as camping supplies. So what is going on? Are they experiencing societal breakdown, and they need to keep their food? Or are they saving their rations for their military as they are contemplating war? Just asking.

China is not going to attack us militarily.

They will use their well-purchased Democrat Party and their media to foment civil war from within. I know I’d prefer to see Democrats and media types hanging from lamp posts by piano wire than dead Chinese peasants in Canton.

If we (Harry T.) had listened to MacArthur 70-years ago, the chicoms would be just now be in thelatter stages of recovery...

instead, most of the 33,000 U.S. Korea War deaths occurred after MacArthur was fired and the chicoms allowed to have a get-out-of-jail-free card...

Truman's accomplishment: Turning the already 8,000 American deaths that cleared the peninsula into about 33,000 and losing most of the peninsula permanently...

I firmly believe China is planning war, and soon. I’m 50/50 on Covid being the first shot in that war. However, it will not be with America. China will seize Taiwan.

China has been lusting after Taiwan for decades and Trump just shored up their defense. But active war is off the table because China's economy is too inextricably attached to ours. They can not kill the Golden Goose that's enabled them to perpetuate the illusion of Communism while actually being capitalist. Way to go, WalMart.

Right on cue though, news...

https://asiatimes.com/2020/04/china-seizes-covid-19-advantage-in-south-china-sea/

The excuse of the "USA bring the virus" would just be for the locals. Still though, I have a hard time believing China really wants to take on a larger war, right now.

Unless, they know... or believe, that they are in a much stronger position, militarily, than we all believe.

Do know that before Americans ruined their own manufacturing base that you could buy a TV, or everything else for that matter, that was made in the US? The stuff was better then.

Do you have recollection of the times preceding stuff being all made in China? I certainly do.

The stuff was better then.

Deming proved that they weren't.

Went to a 3-day Deming seminar back in the 90s.
Man he was a crusty old dude.
Much wisdom.
And he had a cute young “assistant”.

Did Deming believe things made in China were better quality than those Made in America?

Back then (early 90s) China was not really on the map as a manufacturing power. Deming pretty much believed that any country which adopted his system would do well. Deming first became known because he went to Japan after WWII and taught the Japanese who became a high quality manufacturer. Deming died in 93.

My own experience is that any country can make good quality and any country can make bad quality. It comes down to the management and the culture of the company.

China has zero history of ever attacking a formidable foe. They always go for the small size cultures and even then they employ non-direct combat operations.

They are sneak warriors.

The Wuhan release is the perfect sneak attack.
