Thanks. We were eating very few carbs, but there’s a meat shortage in the supermarkets here. Will try to do it again as soon as possible. In the meantime, about an hour of exercise in a day decreases the craving for food, too.

If you want to kill carbohydrate pangs, eat about 3 tablespoons of all natural peanut butter that has no sugar added. It then takes 15-20 minutes for your body to react and stop the craving. It stops for a good 3-4 hours after the wait (which is hard to do).

I would guess most elderly in nursing homes are taking multiple prescriptions daily. If so, their immune systems are very compromised.

To lose weight rapidly, try one of the following:

1) Ketogenic diet (like Atkins) -- extreme low carb
2) Intermittent fasting -- eat only in a 4-hour window each day
3) Intermittent fasting: 24 hour fast every other day (remarkably easy to stick to after the first few days). If you have problems at the beginning, eat a little salt.

Move more and eat less was a horrible punishment for people who were fed the entire food pyramid scheme. Just cut the carbs to less than 20 grams a day and restrict your eating to an 8 hour window. It just works. Please trust me.

This did not work as well for me as alternate-day fasting or carb cycling with intense exercise. (Lifting + "long, slow" cardio).

Not that it has any value, but I did my own calculations regarding the relative sizes of virons, cells, and atoms.

Winds up that there are less than 1 million atoms in a viron, and 1 million virons could fit in an average human cells. To put it another way, cells are far, far, more complex than virons.
