I almost talked myself into buying a home in Ramah, glad I couldn’t find anything with sufficient acreage now.

Won’t be spending my money in NEW (old) MEXICO.

Replace donkeys with shopping carts and chiclets with just a hand out, and you have it. We’re already there. Homeless camps set up in any semi-protected open spot.

I’ve lived here for 15 years. I’ve never seen it this bad.

The results were remarkable, in part because of how influential the incumbents were and how long many of them have been in Santa Fe.

I want to know how long the winners have been in the state!

In 2004 President George W. Bush received all but one of the 40 votes cast on the island.
The remaining vote was cast for Green Party nominee David Cobb. 51 registered voters did not cast ballots.[26]
In 2006 Dan Akaka received 60% of votes in the 2006 Senate election to Cynthia Thielen's 36%.[27]
In 2008, Niʻihau's precinct was one of only 3 of Hawaiʻi's 538 precincts to vote for John McCain over Barack Obama. McCain received 35 votes, Obama received 4, and Cynthia McKinney received 1.[28]
In the 2016 presidential election, nearly 60% of the vote went for Donald Trump.[29]

Keep your head in the sand.

I've been here nearly 20 years and I have to say there is a significant cultural and generational disconnect on this forum. This place skews older, I'd say most here are Boomers, and I think a lot of them remain stuck culturally in the 1980s. Furthermore, many here DO NOT visit other political websites! This place often can be an echo chamber.

The only social issue that conservatism won on was the issue of gun rights. Liberals enjoyed victory on everything else. Trump ran as the most socially liberal Republican in history and he's struggling. We will know early on if election night will be favorable. If the results start coming in with him showing lower numbers in places he won, he's finished. People here are taking his reelection as a foregone conclusion. I'm not at all.

The Democrats have a very good chance to keep the House, take the Senate, and then the White House and people here had better believe, they're not going to dither and squabble amongst themselves as the GOP did after 2016. They're going to move fast to ensure someone like Trump NEVER HAPPENS again.
