They don’t gotta pay anything for it.
Didn’t Steve Forbes sell it to the Chinese about 10 years ago?
And then they tried to screw him by not paying him the rest of the money owed? Not sure how that ended.
They said this about the Soviets, and they said it about the Japanese. I’m not sure about the latter, but you couldn’t believe any figures that came out of the Soviet Union, and likewise you can’t believe anything put forward by the Red Chinese. It should be your default position.
I remember when Japan was going to buy and sell us.
I can't think of anything. Even their handcuffs suck.
“Forbes is liberal, fake republican mag”
But they do have excellent video game reviews!
BOL
Chuckle.
I was a hard core leftist in my 20’s too. Now look at me.
You get married, get a mortgage, work hard to pay your mortgage, raise a family, get old, and all that crazy left wing idiocy just goes away.
Unless you are Bernie Sanders of course. But then he never did a real job i his life.
What is really comical, if you think about it, is that
Forbes sees nothing wrong with letting China eat our
lunch with trade.
So this article is dumbfoundingly idiotic.
Well, we have something where we don’t agree on.
The biggest shortfall with the original Chromebooks was the inability to print.
Now, we can just send what we want printed electronically and by the time I get into my seldom used office with a windows paper weight and my old HP printer. My print job is ready. Yesterday, my wife sent 3 print jobs from her Chromebook and 1 from her smartphone unknown to me while I printed out 3 payments from my Lazy Boy chair in our family room.
We used a lot of paper, but everything worked.
I don't think "ahead" is the right term. I don't consider this any sort of improvement.
First thing I noticed. Looked at the name of the author to see if I recognized him as one of the "never Trumpers".
I get that.
But its Goolag. Surely you know this?
Japan also has next to nothing to speak of in natural resources.
China has vast untapped natural resources.
If China gets out of the way of their human resources, the potential is unlimited. But that is inconceivable to their government.
In 2014, it was sold to a Hong Kong-based investment group, Integrated Whale Media Investments

Forbes was sold to a Hong Kong Based group
Old article but indicates concern of Chinese ownership of Forbes
Oh is that all?
Thanks FRiend.
The US continues to lead in terms of biotech and pharma activity on the capital markets, raising USD 92.7 billion in 2019, accounting for 60% of total capital raised and 40% of issues.: US Continues to Lead in Biopharma Activity, Chinas Rapid Pace of Innovation Ramps Up and Europe Continues as Solid Breeding Ground for Biopharma
A total of $55.5 billion were spent in the sector last year, an increase of 28%, second only to China and beating Europe, according to research by BloombergNEF. Its notable that in the third year of the Trump presidency, which has not been particularly supportive of renewables, U.S. clean energy investment set a new record by a country mile, said Ethan Zindler, head of Americas for BNEF.: Even Under Trump, U.S. Renewable Investment Hit a Record in 2019
Etc.
Meanwhile the Chinese economy is imploding and the West is moving supply chains out of there leaving them less technology to steal. China’s strength is in refining the technology originated in the West that they steal from the West. The problem is once they no longer have access to it to steal, they become chicken farmers again.
The Democrats are too busy trying to destroy Trump.
I think Trump understood that China was becoming an economic powerhouse with the US footing the bill. That’s why he waged economic warfare and put tarrifs in place.
It’s The Swamp that wants the US prostrate before the Chinese juggernaut.
Trump understands that the United States should be the technology leader. But that’s not going to happen while we allow the Chinese to steal our technology and continue to feed their economy.
