I joined but don’t think it’s as user friendly as Twitter.
The font is pale! And the data format isn’t quite a good - IMO.
I find it much easier than twitter.
plus I haven’t been able to see anyone’s post on it. love to take a look, but cant see nothing...
can you send me a post or link I can view? Every time I click one it asks me to sign up instead of showing me what I want to see. Kind of like the Washington Post or NY times and their subscription firewalls.
Overlooking the irony that we’re having this discussion on a social media site, I can’t argue with you about that.
I like to go on Twitter and view the leftist comments and then pick someone who is especially full of $hit and then ask a question they can’t logically answer because it would show how wrong they are.
Maybe a bit twisted but sometimes this is fun for me.
It’s accessible from the web even if the app is banned.
Now they just need to get Companies to sign up with Parler too & maybe the left & Celebrities <-- Yea right! lol
No, it isnt. These are not "installed apps" but "web app" links dropped on the devices home screen. They do not run on the device as an app, but rather on the ptreferred internet browser as a web resident app. Theyre never installed on the device. Theres no "App Store" to install anything there, just a website that sells access to scripts and more on cloud apps.
The device stores a URL for the web based app, and can create or use a provided icon to represent that location. Thats all that happens. Touch on it and it invokes the browser and opens a webpage for that address. You can do the same thing for any frequently visited webpage. I have one for FreeRepublic. Tap it and FR opens on the latest comments to me page. I have another one that takes me to the lates update of everything newly refreshed on FR page.
Think of Googles cloud based software. If you find yourself somewhere without a good cellular or any internet WIFI connection, none of those web based linked "apps" would work at all. They arent installed, or in any way resident, on the device. They exist completely on the cloud. Even your documents are on the cloud. Youd be Schiff out of luck to do anything.
I’m on FR, and also on non-conservative sites.
I use what I see on FR to “cross pollinate” to the other sites.
ThanQ!

Im Lhurker on there and am looking to get Parlaid.
somebody needs an app that you can use to post on multiple different platforms simultaneously
“Freerepublic rules”
Amen! Best format. Easy to track/follow posts and replies. No razzle-dazzle. Just the facts.
While well-intentioned, thats a ridiculous and woefully naive goal. Libs and Progs never debate ideas with reasoned argument and facts. They only want to stifle conservative free speech, scream, yell, threaten, whine, and stomp their feet. How many times have the children shouted down conservative speakers on college campuses? They are so uneducated and ignorant that they dont have the capability for adult debate.
It wants your phone number....uh, no.
They exist, and are most often used by organizations that are trying to drive a narrative.
I don't think anyone really knows, but I've seen stats that claim over 50% of twitter users are not real people, but are either bots or click farms that spam specific narratives.
FWIW, I did get a Parler account, but disabled and closed it. Under the terms and conditions, you have to dox yourself to get on the platform, and also agree to pay billing if there's a lawsuit that costs Parler money.
This means if one of the radical law firms decides to file a class action against Parler for speech allowed on the platform, you could end up getting a personal bill.
There's just too much liability there for me.
Also, the interface sucks, and sometimes I like to use twitter to web post photos, images or memes. You have to have a Parler account to see posts. This prevents Parler users from embedding their posts in other media. That greatly reduces reach.
Parler sounds like it may be a “trap” of sorts
At least to start with it wants your phone number so it can send you a verification code to be sure you are you.
