Then you should use Android, iOS users love that our machines do not crash or rob us. I rarely use the iPhone I carry a 3G enabled iPad Pro when I go out. There are several ways you can make phone calls from an iPad, I don't now but I used to.
The new Mac OS 11 will let you run iOS apps natively they said. We shall see, I hope they do because several web apps run much better on iOS than Mac OS X.
You can edit 4k video on an iPad, how much work do you do? Not me of course I am happy playing a few mindless games and reading FreeRepublic on mu iPhone-iPad.
I use a 2012 MacPro with a decent amount of upgrades which I have hooked to a 70 unchecking 4k TV which allows me to watch TV and browse the web at the same time. I use and obsolete eyeTV HD to do my TV stuff still works fine.
At least to start with it wants your phone number so it can send you a verification code to be sure you are you.......
nope
Both resources keep us sane in this psychotic world.
I’m too old to learn and I don’t need a smart phone. I just use the standard flip type phone. We use it for long distance and have it with us when we are in the car or out riding our bicycles out in the rual areas along country roads. Helps if we have a problem out there. But, I don’t have need of a smart phone. I wouldn’t be using the darn thing enough to have spent the money for it.
A guy named George web was just banned from Parlor.

I was among the early wave to sign up. Now have found out that Parler may very well be one of the biggest data-mining scams in the last several years.
“I do not do smartphones, am I really missing out on anything?
A desktop computer works fine for me.”
Yes, I prefer a desktop or laptop too. The phone gives you instant internet access wherever you go, so you can find the nearest restaurant, retail shop, etc. For cruising the internet and writing emails and comments, I find smartphones claustrophobic.
But for posting articles and images on social media, the phone is faster.
