That’s a pretty spiffy one at Mag 5.1.

“Trump’s fault. He stomped too hard on Adam Schiff.”

5.1 is what you get when you detonate a decent sized nuke...so, I actually hope it’s Trump’s fault, because it shows we’re getting ready for the challenges ahead, rather than sitting on our butts thinking that our higher level of (mostly wasted) military spending will somehow keep us safe.

I have a couple of friends and bit of family just across the line in Clover.

Nothing from them in terms of news or problems.

No, no. Any earthquake large enough to be felt across the large central and eastern US - from Oklahoma east, is so rare that is they matter. They rarely do a lot of damage, nor are they “important” other than as reminders of the massive New Madrid earthquakes, but they do matter.

I’m an hour from Sparta and never felt a thing.

Daughter in Johnson City (70 miles away) didn't notice it!

Given his age, more likely a hard day of play.

I think his no-account niece who wrote that tell-all about him. He used her to Bam-bam Schiff, but the little roach skittled away too fast.

“Unless it’s over 6.5 it isn’t nothing.”

Our local Emergency Management Director states that an earthquake larger than a 4.2 in Hendersonville would condemn the entire downtown.

There is one that runs through Dixie Caverns that you can see on the tour. It is south of us but people in town did say they felt it. I’m on a mountain outside town

My pastor has relatives in Sparta, NC... they said they got a lot of shaking, but no damage.

I live pretty close to Grrr. :)

Felt like being on a waterbed, but there is a lot of undergound water here.

I’m glad it wasn’t I lived a lot closer, about 70 miles east. I woke up a little bit freaked and then plopped right back down to sleep. I didn’t know it was a major quake until going downstairs later in the morning and seeing the news coverage on.

Saw some local news coverage of the damage. All they could find was one place where road pavement was buckled enough to warrant traffic cones and photos from inside someone’s house showing stuff thrown off the shelves laying on the floor and a few picture frames knocked off the walls.
