You would think the Parties (and this goes for both parties) would tell their old warhorses that it’s time for younger blood (people with all their mental marbles intact) to lead critical committees.
Not that they have to retire out of the Senate, but just chair committees that aren’t quite as important, something like the Foreign Relations, Public Works, etc.
They still get to chair a committee, but not one that will impact their parties ultimate agenda.
Pull what off?
I’m not a fan of Sen. Feinstein but the Democrats are the minority with zero power to control the functions of the Senate.
Why are they suddenly worried? Didn’t they choose her to be on the judiciary committee?
Power is one of the most addictive things there is.
Repeal the 17th.
Democrat leaders tend to be narcissistic sociopaths. This results in them undermining potential young competitors.
What AOC and the other younger Democrats have been doing is staging a coup inside the Dem party.
