I’m guessing it’s because Cuomo would of been a serious presidential candidate if none of this news came out. It’s not a coincidence either that another potential top presidential candidate in Gavin Newsom is about to face a recall election. Some faction within the Democrat Party wants both of them politically finished and they’re about to get their wish. My guess is it’s the Obamaites. With Cuomo and Newsom out of the way and politically done it can only benefit their chosen president in waiting Kamala Harris. She won’t have to face a potential primary in 2024 or in 2028!

Actually this Biden burst had to come as a suprise to Cuomo and he is probably not sure what to make of it. Was Biden reading off a teleprompter “answering” presubmitted questions from Democratic operative Stephanopoulus? If so then the Harris cabal was behind the attack. She wants Cuomo and Newsom destroyed politically to solidify her own power. It would be hard for Cuomo to believe that Biden , who had just refused to condemn him a few days ago would shift his position so quickly. Then again which cabal gets to him last, sets policy.
Cuomo must be really upset. This weekend he was quieting the local Democrats. He had his henchmen calling them reminding them that Cuomo knows all the details of the Democratic corruption machine. He knows how and who benefitted from the kickbacks from consultants and contractors involving the Tappan Zee Bridge’s shoddy construction. He also knows the details of the planned graft regarding the huge Federal payoff that was to come to the nursing homes that treated the COVID patients. Most important he can identify the family members of Democrat office holders that were registered as “lobbyists”. These lobbyists launder the bribes from those who need regulations changed or ignored or new laws passed. Cuomo as all good bosses has insulated himself but no doubt informed the unruly Democrats that he could drop the dime on any one of them.

Maybe off topic, but it’s looking like these one-on-one scripted interviews will be how Biden’s team attempts to skirt his (and their) fear of doing a press conference.
I can hear Psaki now: “Look, he’s going one-on-one with you. What more do you need?”

Follow the leader. Remember that Cuomo was their leader at that time.
At the rate things are going for him, it could eventually be something else. They are going to burn him but good.
