“Last month, Abbott said he would not be reinstating a statewide mask mandate, instead directing Texans to adhere to “personal responsibility.””

Just what I want baby, that way I don’t have to use some muscle.

“Austin has been populated with Californisa Transplants and stands out like a bleeding sore in an otherwise Conservative Texas.”

Unfortunately, Austin isn’t alone. San Antonio has a lot of conservatives, but usually just a bit shy of 50%, so the woke scolds control everything. They simply couldn’t wait for the TRO to go into effect, and slapped on a mask mandate within 1/2 hour of that decision. I hope that the State is contesting that. Masks aren’t worth a damn to stop the spread of disease, but they are great for conditioning and virtue-signalling.

I agree.

The highest law in the land says that We The People are in charge.

Currently, local, state and federal governments are acting like that just isn’t so. And, in fact, We The People are not acting like we are in charge.

But what happens if we take back our power? These are the times that try men’s souls and difficult choices will be made.

If a state mandate is meaningless... how can a city mandate mean anything?

It doesn't.

ClayJay is just a virtue signaling PITB prog that will automatically take the side of the neo-communist party (democrat) out of force of habit from the "Get Trump" days.

I expect to have an interesting conversation at my local Walmart on my usual Saturday run.

I want to see if the management there knows the level of authority between a county judge and the Governor of the State of Texas.

I'm thinking they will respond with a heartfelt uhhhh...

.

All I can think to say to that is "What happens if we don't?"

These are the times that try men’s souls and difficult choices will be made.

Very difficult.

That’s what I was thinking as well. What’s the excuse for Houston, Metroplex, etc.?

Austin Mayor Steve Adler and Travis County Judge Andy Brown need to watch this.

My prediction is Abbott folds like a cheap Pence.

What do you think?

Houston is a conservative prosperous city of 100,000 hard working Christian conservatives, surrounded by 3,900,000 communists, mooches, grifters, skaters and creeps, plus 1 million illegal aliens who speaka no englich. Only about 1% of the population ever went to driving school, and half the vehicles on the road at any given time are stolen.

The most honest description of Houston that I have ever read.

It’s a crying shame.

It will be interesting to see who the police will back in this. Without enforcers, these ‘mandates’ are meaningless.

Personally, I’ll bet on jackboot thuggery.

// My prediction is Abbott folds like a cheap Pence.

Have you heard of anyone transporting illegal aliens being arrested since Abbott made his proclamation on that?

I didn’t think so.
