I have been very unfair to Pinochet in the past. Now I am beginning to understand his motives a big better.

The Bundy Ranch standoff was something to watch. The government blinked. They learned from it. I doubt the tyrants will try that sort of standoff again. I suspect trying to pick off the “potential leaders” individually will be their MO when their desperation crosses that line.

The usual half-truths and obfuscations about Allende's government. They were Communists with elements of the East German and Cuban intelligence services already present. Even if Allende didn't want to be a dictator, he would have soon been replaced by another Castro.

The turnabout in long accepted legal precedent to bring Pinochet to trial of course represents the usual double standard employed by the Left.

Look for the current junta to start turning over Americans to the international tribunal when they think the moment is ripe.

True, Franco used Hitler. Like Xi is using Biden?

Ten years ago I would have agreed with you. Now with that traitor Miley and those marxist scum on the joint chiefs I think they are quite capable of ordering airstrikes and the military to fire on and slaughter anyone who opposes a marxist take over of the USA.

The US military going marxist makes any restoration of the republic now a long and bloody slog with lots of heinous violence on both sides.

If you recall all US military forces and get half of your National Guard units to comply you still could not control huge swaths of the US. Further all those units who do make war on their fellow citizens have to realize their families are living among those neighbors you are murdering, how do you think that is going to go over? It will be ugly and violent.

If only 2% of the population resists you have a mess on your hands if you are Peking Miley.

250 Years?
The America of 1776 did not survive the Civil War.
The seeds of its destruction (slavery) were sown in the very founding documents. If the slavery problem had been faced head on at that time, there would have been NO constitution.
What survives today are the names of things. The states are still called states, but now that word has changed to adapt to what people think they ought to be, not what they were or what they ought to be.

There may not be a need for a 2024 election if the 2022 one is stolen! And if so that will be the end of America. One thing for sure 1/2 of America will not go down with out a fight! Even if it’s against the other half! We’ve seen this before and history does repeat it’s self!

More like he took allies where he could find them. Same as Finland.

Both countries paid a price.

I'd compare him to her, but she was a better strategist.

Any members of our military who would have supported the US Constitution was purged by Obama..... a long time ago. How the hell do you think we got top brass the caliber of Austin and Milley?

I am thinking of the rank and file, not top brass. Sure, there are some ‘woke’ in the ranks, but I don’t believe that they buy into the whole woke/climate/insurrection BS any more than most of America. When push comes to shove I think the majority will refuse to turn their guns on civilians and fellow citizens.

I don’t think a lot of Americans are going to be that sort of pushover.

Judging by California, I disagree with your statement.

Judging by the kids I saw driving this morning, all standing outside waiting for the school bus either social distanced or alone ALL wearing their masks undoubtedly instructed by their parents, I tend to agree.

Spot on. I’ve never doubted the willingness of our military to give their life for their country, it’s just that none of the officer corps will give up their next promotion for their country.
