Hi.

If you have been to Germany, and driven on the Autobahn, stay in the right hand lane at 160 kph.

Like going from Tampa to Orlando. If you go 80 mph, stay in the right hand lane.

PSA.

If you want to drive fast you have to go out a 3 AM and far away from population centers.

In the part of Germany that was East Germany, you can drive fast pretty much any time.

The number isn't correct. (The Autobahn is designed for a VERY high rate of speed. Someone moving at 50 MPH on an empty stretch would feel as if he were barely moving.)

In the heading of the article, the speed limit is correctly described as 130 KmH, which translates to about 81 MPH. With the exception of Poland (at 140 KmH), 130 KmH is the standard speed limit throughout Western Europe, and what the proposed speed limit in Germany is. In the body of this (poorly-written) article, the speed limit is described as 80 KmH.

The German news sites describe the discussed Tempolimit as 130 KmH.

“Kein spas(I don’t have a German keypad) mehr’’ “No more fun’’. I probably should have ‘der’’. I used ‘’die’’ as I remember form my best high school German.

Admittedly that was a very long time ag.

LoL 😊. No prob. Like I said, I’m not perfect either. But the spas threw me a little. I thought you meant no more hot baths!

Yeah, right? The ‘’s’’ at the end is spelled with that German symbol that looks like a sheep headers staff. I don’t have that on my keypad.

I always took a lot of flak for LIKING 55 mph when it first came out.

Why? Because I had a ‘62 chevy Biscayne, 3 on the tree and a mechanical Overdrive powered by a straight 6. That car purred along as nicely as you please at 55mph.
