I’m pretty sure it was suicide.
The tragic thing is, if he had possessed the manhood to stand up and admit that he’d killed the girl in a sudden rage, it’s unlikely that he would have faced the death penalty.
Probably a prison sentence, time off and parole for good behavior, and the time and opportunity to face and deal with his personal ‘demons’. He was a very young man.
But he didn’t have the character to do that; and he screwed all of the possible chances left to him.
I don’t believe that the corpse was Brian Laundrie. I think it was faked to allow him to escape justice.
