When did McCarthy start speaking? I hope that you saw it right that there can be 2 more speakers.
FOX Radio said that McCarthy started speaking at 8:30 PM Eastern time.
First time I recall seeing a “filibuster” in the House! LOL!
FOX radio also said that the vote will come at mid-morning Friday.
FOX News mentioned a CBO figure of $370 billion over ten years.
I thought it was several trillion...at least...over the next few years.
God bless McCarthy. He has redeemed himself in my eyes. I hope that it is right that there can be 2 more speakers .

I don’t know if McCarthy, if he has to go it alone, will be able to last that long. He’ll be like Jimmy Stewart, staggering around in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. I hope and pray he can last until about 10 am when all the early morning talk shows (like Fox & Friends, Newsmax, etc. get going and can spread the word about what has been happening overnight. And get out all the numbers they will have tomorrow am of the CBO scoring to show what the true numbers are.
That’s why Nancy has scheduled it for 8 am. She figures McCarthy won’t be able to last that long. I hope McCarthy ate his wheaties, bless his soul. It’s a race to the finish line; whose going to win? McCarthy is truly fighting the good fight.
I’m very glad that the Pubs behind him are sticking with him on the floor as moral support. Kevin hasn’t swallowed a single bit of water. I wonder if part of the filibuster rules are that you can’t eat or drink anything. That would be cruel and unusual punishment. I thought I just saw him chewing on something, maybe gum? Anyone know what the rules are?
He’s chewing on something. Has anyone seen him drink any water? If he can eat something, he can probably drink, but isn’t as then he would have to leave the floor if he had to go to the bathroom. Hope he’s wearing an underpad/diaper in case he has to go. I believe you can’t leave the floor at all. Good thing he’s in good shape physically. He’s got a nice sense of humor. That’s the Irish in him. He’s got off some good funny comments.
He has been taking a few sips of water . He certainly can not take too much.

The more I think about it, I believe it’s all on him. Remember in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington? Jimmy Stewart was on his last legs after filibustering for hours, and there was no replacement for him. It’s all McCarthy. So far he’s doing great, but the night is still young (or should I say the morning).

Which is why raising it from $600 to $10,000 is a farce. On the surface it sounds good but in the end it achieves the same thing.
