IF IT AIN’T BROKE-—DON’T FIX IT
I always told the young people at work, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Simple engineering is good engineering.
Computerized airbag deployment system - required
Don’t know how I missed that one!
If it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features!
Teslas come with a key (card). It works just fine without any servers or apps. The phone connection is a convenience. If people are too stupid to carry the key as well that is their own fault.
damn, only ever had to crank a tractor...
I once had a 1980s Citroen 2CV that you could start with a hand crank! Same crank that was used for the tire jack. Little 600 cc 2 cyl. boxer engine didn't take much strength to crank over.
You forgot the computerized onboard breathalizer - Now REQUIRED.
Yes, this is rather telling, isn’t it.
What happens if you drive a tesla outside and area with phone coverage?
What is worse than getting locked out of your car??? Getting locked in it
I sure would hate for this outage to happen while evacuating in advance of a hurricane.
You do recognize that as humor, right?
Guys drive his truck into a lake and while he got out okay, the guys in the bed drowned.😊
See, humor 🤗
dumb enough to buy a coal fired car?
Vivamus stultus ignarus mori
Live stupid die ignorant
My car has a key fob that I keep in my pocket, it allows me to unlock and start the car. If the battery dies, it has a clip to squeeze in order to release a manual key to open the car. Holding the key fob next to the "Start" button will start the car, even if the key fob battery is dead.
I don't know what Tesla owners do, as they use a credit card type fob - no way for it to hold a key.
At least with airliners (I fly them) you have fail operational systems. If everything electronic goes out the engines still run and the plane flies. The problem with cars is manufactures don't build them that way, one glitch and it shuts down. They just assume you'll pull over and have it towed into the dealership. For those of us that live in remote areas that can be very expensive or disastrous. I had a classmate from high school that died because his truck quit and he was stranded in sub-zero temperatures during the winter in eastern Montana. He froze to death in his truck during the night.
I would rather have any car made in the 40’s or 50’s than deal with this BS.
Use a phone app to start your car.
What could POSSIBLY go wrong?
