The goal is obviously to replace paper money and to give the federal government more power. That is always the goal.

Having our transactions done in cryptocurrency which is beyond the power of any government to control would be ideal. A CBDC? Absolutely not. That would be the worst possible thing.

Gold, silver, barter, ....

The importance of paper money has already shrunk greatly. I get my paycheck direct deposited. I buy things with a debit card or a credit card. I pay bills online through my bank. I have, maybe, $50 on me at any one time and that tends to last for a month or two. And I would wager that the large majority of the people live their financial life the same way.

Bitcoin is ready when you are.

The average person would likely not have anything to do with a digital currency as now planned. I's more for large companies and international transactions.

“some observers suggest the U.S. needs its own to stay competitive and maintain the dollar’s dominant role in the world financial system.”

If the dollar is dominant, then aren’t they competing with us? So why compete with them at their level? If they want to compete, maybe they need to make some paper money and overtake the dominance as paper and honest use appears to work better?

Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDCs) are nothing but a way for the government track your spending, and to cut you off if they do not like what you are doing.

It’s a nightmare and garbage. Avoid CBDCs like the plague. Unless you want to spied on, think you are a slave to the government, and want to be turned into a financial prisoner.

This is what the fake vaxx is about. Put the chip into people. Cut off all money supply except digital. Then everyone becomes a slave. They put into a person’s account only what they want them to have and only as you comply with whatever they say. That’s my thoughts on what is possible going on. It’s total control.

Its easier to track what I spend when I use cash. My son used to use his debit card for everything. He also ended up over drafting a few times

Since the dollar itself is not backed by anything why not? Especially now that the USA is a banana republic.

They did not need an amendment to get around the line about only gold and silver. All they need is some let’s pretend judges.

If Trump is for it then I’m probably 99.9999% for it.

Wack jobs like John McAfee sometimes turn out to be right. History is rife with such people like Galileo, Pasteur, the Wright Brothers, Edison, Tesla, Jefferson, Washington, and etc.

All such people were at one point or another considered to be crazy by their contemporaries. The reality is that these people were simply possessed of knowledge and opinions that were not commonly held in their time.

“What starts out as optional will become mandatory.”

Not quite. During the Clinton farce, it was mandatory for me to report to a camp for processing. All those who said it was mandatory are dead. Now what?
