What concerns would that be? That Europe or the US wanted to invade Russia? This is all about a land grab (of a sovereign nation yet) with “security concerns” as the pretext.

The west just wanted to bring those substantial resources into it’s control orbit and present a politicak lever into the weak underbelly of Russia.
They even succeeded for a little while.
But Russia perceived this as an existential threat and responded militarily.
Great power politics is back.
The US, Russia...and perhaps an emerging China...now have Spheres of Influence. Extended imperial possessions.
Any of those possessions could be traded for another on a moments notice.
Belarus has formally offered to send troops, but has not received a public answer. Or the answer has not been made public.

Sickening. Sickening to know Ukrainian citizens are dying as Putin’s soldiers invade, sickening to know that the west DENIED help to Ukraine that would’ve made a difference (Trump being the exception).
NATO really didn’t want Ukraine...neither does the EU.
