Maybe the increase in ghost guns is due to all of the guns drowning in boating accidents these last ten years.
“That very much depends on the pistol itself. The few full auto versions of the FN High Power ended up being chest (maybe), sky, sky and nobody bought them.”
Play with the powder burn rate and install load rated recoil springs for the weaker round until it’s just right. Add a ported suppressor and the inertial mass will help contain the recoil.
The former isn’t going to happen in regular military or police usage and they generally don’t seem to be interested in adding a suppressor either.
Jeff Cooper was hired as consultant to some high ranking raghead whose bodyguards were armed with Mac 10s. Jeff told the guy full auto is a handicap in a gunfight. They didn't believe him.
He took them on a Hogan's Alley shootout scenario and so completely outperformed them that their boss ordered them to start carrying 1911s and become proficient with them.
You can actually buy a 100 round magazine for those. They will also work with Ruger's PC Carbine.
“shooting with any sort of accuracy nearly impossible”
NO! Not “nearly impossible”, but IMPOSSIBLE.
The first shot could be accurate, all others would be high and higher, and higher. (I think that’s a song)
Hilarious video
The Generals decided the same thing about repeaters in the Civil War. Lever action rifles were available but never issued because Ammo...........
Would be fun, but I could not afford the ammo to feed it.
I should work on getting invited to the right weekend parties.
When the “news” talks about “ghost guns”, they usually allude to 3-D printed or home finished (80%, or kit-guns) firearms.
However any (stolen) gun with a defaced serial number is also included in this category.
In my limited research, I haven’t found any numbers on how many printed or 80% firearms were used in violent crimes.
I’ve seen a few anecdotal instances, but most appear to be used by people that are not legally allowed to have any guns.
Start killing/capturing/imprisoning the 2-3% of population that commit and RECOMMIT violent crimes, and crime will slow.
If you start dealing with criminals as quickly and violently as they dealt their victims, crime would stop almost overnight.
Me neither even if I could find it on the shelves.
I'd also want full automatic if manning a checkpoint. May need to unload on a carful or truckful in seconds.
“I have always been thankful the Germans adopted the Sturmgewehr 44.
If they had stuck with bolt action rifles they would have won the war.”
first time I heard developing the first assault rifle cost the nazis the war....lol
Yes. That’s why the military took rock and roll off the rifles. It’s just wasting ammo.
