ABC -> Always Be Charging.
Batteries are a necessary evil. The technology sucks and apparently will continue to do so.
Wind and Solar are total non starters, except on the periphery, until batteries [or Super Capacitors] become mature in a financial way for large energy storage.
Whereas discontinued models of non-electric vehicles can continue to be repaired and driven.
I really don’t see the problem here. The customer just follow the Joe Biden formula and get the dealer to lower his price on the battery. And just like that...problem solved!
An electric vehicle? The Second Law of Thermodynamics would like to have a word with you.
“There’s a sucker born every minute” P. T. Barnum
Electric cars are more of a status symbol then a practical way to get around.
Isn’t there some law that requires automakers to supply spare parts for ten years?
This has never happened in the history of the gasoline/diesel automobile.
You purchase a used gasoline/diesel vehicle then the engine and/or transmission dies shortly thereafter and it cost more to repair then the price of the ICEv.
That’s what the dems never want anyone to know
That’s just wonderful for the environment. An 8 year old toxic car with less than 70,000 miles is ready for the trash heap.
I might read the article if the site was not so busy trying to load adware and pop-ups that I cannot view the page.
In any case this is hardly news, more the routine as EV owners dump their obsolete low mileage junk on the unsuspecting.
Florida man bought an electric car, and now it bites him in the butt.
But they drove with pride….
I guess you didn’t read the article close enough there are no replacement batteries available at Any price they are SOL

Shane Rattenbury, the Minister of Emissions Reduction, will outline a plan later this week that will see 90 per cent of new cars sold as electric by 2030. The policy will include a series of incentives and programs.
The Zero Emissions Vehicle Strategy will see no fuel-powered cars available for purchase beyond 2035 in landmark news for the country as it looks to address climate change - and for drivers in Canberra...
Greenpeace’s Lindsay Soutar said she hopes the ACT’s announcement will convince other states and territories to follow suit...

It’s gonna take a while (cuz people tend to be kinda slow) but they’ll soon enough catch onto the fact that (unlike ICE vehicles) there is no economic advantage in purchasing used EV’s
Caveat Emptor
When electric has the same energy density per pound as gasoline, then you can call me.
