Who is inspecting the meat coming through Perdue or sysco? Almost none of it is, and you don’t hear about any problems unless there is a larger outbreak with hospitalizations or deaths, and they will get a small slap on the wrist fine for it.
I’d feel much better being able to get my food from the farmer down the road. He is much more likely to care about the people getting his products.
This does not pass the “food safety” sniff test. Who has he hurt besides the government’s control on the supply chain?

The short version is the USDA is persecuting this farmer at the behest of the big meat packers consortium, because he is selling uninspected meat across state lines.
Shouldn’t he have provided a convoy of buggies? They actually got on busses? Is that like a shabbos goy; so long as the driver isn’t Amish, they won’t go to Amish hell? Just curious to know.
Gates or China probably want to break them and take their land so they can’t feed the people they want to die .

The fact that the milk he’s selling is unprocessed is a FEATURE, not a defect. He ADVERTISES raw milk. His customers WANT raw milk. I grew up on raw milk, back on the farm. This ruckus going on now is merely leftist hatred for free enterprise. Come on, TRUMP!
Buy from the Amish and local farmers. If there is an Amish market, ask for permission to circulate a petition on Amos Miller’s behalf. Get this story out to as many people as possible, especially Pennsylvanians. Tie this around Fettterman and Shapiro.

No, he has his own facility. He doesn’t want to comply with the certification/inspection process and I don’t blame him. The USDA rules are arbitrary and expensive and are intended to keep small processors out of interstate commerce.
Pretty sure he is shipping across state lines because the customers are paying a highly motivating premium.
Congress could fix this with a very simple law that allows any licensed vet to moonlight as an animal health inspector at any state or county permitted butcher/processor and for the meat to be sold in interstate commerce.
Real inspections at the local level and boom shakalaka, everyone gets what they want, except Tyson and Hormel.
