Yep. The wokesters haven’t wrecked the animal programs yet, because by and large they are run by farmers who volunteer to oversee them.

It’s still the best thing you can do for your kids so they know where food comes from and how it is raised.

You don’t get 4,000 regular, committed customers by getting them sick.

That’s good to hear. You’re right, our group leader was the local family diary farmer’s wife. They milked something like 800 head, massive operation. That man had no life and now he’s retired and looks like absolute hell.

You know nothing about the roadblocks the USDA MIP puts in the way of small producers and processors both.

Meat inspection does not need to be federal. Compliance with state regulators and inspectors should be sufficient for interstate sales.

Furthermore, food safety laws should be forced to show actual benefit for each tranche of size. Tyson needs to use certain chemicals and preservatives because of high volume and animal from CAFO sources (i.e. higher disease rates).

But a single farm operation that is processing only it’s own animals, often one at a time does not need and should not be required to use the same chemicals and preservatives as the volume processors than comingle meat from multiple animals in volume packages

A single animal that is cut, wrapped and frozen in a matter of hours does not need to be bathed in preservatives for safety. The only purpose of enforcing the same rules on the little players is to keep them out of the game.

It’s like requiring single family homes be built with multiple stalls in the bathroom.

“Compliance with state regulators and inspectors should be sufficient for interstate sales.”

Obviously your not aware of the USDA process to do just that:

"... state MPI programs must meet a number of criteria to demonstrate that the inspection that it provides to state-inspected plants will be the “same as” the inspection that FSIS provides to official federal establishments. For instance, a state must demonstrate that it has the necessary legal authority to administer and enforce requirements that are the same as the Federal Meat Inspection Act (FMIA), the Poultry Products Inspection Act (PPIA) and applicable regulations.

Still the same one size fits all roadblocks. All this program does is allow states to shoulder the burden and cost of inspection in order to subsidize selected local players.

Government picking winners and losers, instead of real, science based food safety and a level playing field.

You really still understand nothing.

AOC and the greens: “They love all bad and hate all good”. Demsheviks know there’s no such thing as climate change. All they care about is tyranny, taking away all of our rights.

When the FDA stops approving dangerous vaxes and many other harmful drugs, I might pay attention to them. Until then...

People have drunk raw milk since time immemorial.

There was a small dairy farm about a mile from our home when I was in my early teens. We bought raw milk, and all survived.

When you were in your early teens, I’d conjecture that people were not eager to bring lawsuits at the drop of a hat. People drank raw milk for millennia and survived. Then Louis Pasteur discovered Pasteur-ization. Then lawyers began multiplying and personal injury litigation standards became looser. Then people became more remote from each other, thanks to television, cars, and the telephone. And agriculture became regimented into big corporate farms, and everyone carried liability insurance for everything. So, if you drank raw milk from a small dairy farm nowadays, assuming you’re in a state where dairy cooperatives haven’t cornered the market on milk from all dairy farms, you could then make it your business to get sick, have a doctor certify that it was caused by drinking raw milk, and then go to a lawyer, not necessarily in that order. You would feel justified, because the “small dairy farm” was insured, and they should have known they would get sued by a customer sooner or later.

Nothing personal, and anyway, you don’t know them because the television, smart phone and internet and your high-tech job give you too much to do. Can’t go down the road to chat with a dairy farmer, who’s probably just as busy as you, if not more. So why not sue them.

Good luck. In an administration run by tyrants and unelected unfireable bureaucrats, after a stolen election, with the “president” the bitch of the CCP, change the law?

Just pure evil. They are fining this Amish farmer $300,000 and want him to go out of business. Is this their plans for all independent farmers? Putting farmers who grow real, pure food, (not chemically poisoned or genetically modified) out of business , where all we will have available to eat are fake chemical foods and agribusiness garbage or bugs. Then we will all be sick and can help big pharma stay in business
