This all should fall under “CONTRACT LAW”.
The student CONTRACTED to receive funds & to return those funds to the LENDER WITH INTEREST in a specified amount of time.
This certainly is NOT within the control of Biden to change afterward.
This needs to be challenged-—along with the moritorium on payments Biden set up.
LENDERS will cease doing so if they cannot get their funds returned.
Taxpayers are the lenders, apparently we will get stuck with the bill and we will like it.
Already SOME are saying as much.
ANY loan balance of ANY kind should be labeled as INCOME & added to tax return for taxing purposes.
That is against ALL accepted Accounting practices.
I went to night school. Worked full time.
PAID for all my classes—books—& other materials.
I was making about $7 a hour at that time.
They make their own rules. Was the stimulus money taxable?
