"The source material used can be traced."

Exactly so. But the response will be "we can't wait for an investigation, the crisis is here!"

Just watch if such an event happens.

In don’t understand this thing at all. Putin is surely a psychopath ruling over a savage Third World cesspool with natural gas and nukes.Ukraine may,or may not,be ruled by a scumbag. But I’m inclined to think that Putin deserves most...if not all...of the blame here. After all,you can take the boy out of the KGB,but you can’t take the KGB out of the boy.

I think it takes a lunatic to blow up the Nord Stream Pipeline. I doubt that was the leaders of Russia.

I don’t believe they have the necessary equipment and know how.
I certainly could be wrong.

They will use a tactical nuke. They will claim that Ukraine has none of them, which may be true or untrue, but it is irrelevant because Ukraine has western contributors to pull this off with those particular weapons.

Getting ahead of it, he west will say that it is possible to determine whose nukes were used. That is also irrelevant, because it will be determined by propaganda instead of facts. The worst part is we all are supposed to be in a nuke situation over a criminal enterprise like Ukraine.

I would say whoever wants it, ITS YOURS.

None of this has to do with the people. It has to do with the idiotic jackasses running the world.

“The source material used can be traced.”

After WWIII starts that will really matter?

Once the real war begins the propaganda war is over.

Meaningless? Do you really think that the former head of the KGB is now convinced that men like Jefferson and Madison had the right idea about how a nation should be governed?

It seems very possible to me that there are no "good guys" in this fight. But just ask the Poles...the French...and the Koreans what it's like being a small nation sharing a border with a large, powerful one.

After 2014 there has been a massive influx of Ukes to America. They load in tree Capitol building breach doing 2 of the forced entries breaking windows… shouting at each other in Ukrainian.
There’s a decent chance when you argue with one here, it’s an honest to god Uke Azov import to America. They were also behind the giant doxxing attack on Parlor.

Russia would never have allowed even a single nuke/warhead to be left behind. The world was watching, and Russia was as concerned as any for the security of those weapons - as they were concerned they might be the victim!

But the point is - your willingness to try to give Russia political cover - is really revealing.

It is nigh on impossible to hide a nuke for 30 years in a country like Ukraine.

Despite what Hollywood might think, those things have a habit of giving off radioactive signatures and sticking one in the X-ray department of a hospital doesn’t actually provide plausible cover.

No, the far more likely scenario is a Chechen/Ukrainian team up gets into Russian territory, hits a mobile launch facility, and takes out Putin’s lake side palace.

Kyiv shrugs and says “Your territory, your nuke, your palace... you nuked yourself.”

@es345st - it’s got nothing to do with “peacefully”. Russia wants a way out that gives it all the goodies, lets Putin not so much save face as celebrate a total victory, re-empowers the Moscow totalitarian elite that’s been bumping off any independent minded rich folk for the last six months, and rips up every single agreement Russia made with its ex-Soviet neighbors going all the way back to 1988 when under Glasnost and Perestroika, the Supreme Soviet devolved powers to the republics and finally allowed them to develop their own identities.

Ukraine should not capitulate a square inch of its land to Russia, under any circumstances, without consenting to it via a completely free and fair, constitutional and internationally monitored referendum.

Anything less is not going to establish a lasting peace, it will merely create a ceasefire before an even bigger conflict.

The minute Ukraine surrenders territory that was guaranteed to it by Russia and the other SSRs over thirty years ago, every other former Soviet Socialist Republic (whether under the NATO umbrella or not) becomes fair game for Russian annexation. If it’s legal for Russia (or anyone else) to do it to Ukraine, it was legal for Russia (or anyone else) to do it in Georgia and Chechnya, and it’ll be legal for Russia (or anyone else) to do it to other former SSRs in the future.

In the east, that new reality will create a fight between Russia and China over who controls which former SSR in Asian territory.

In the west, NATO Article 5 WILL be triggered.

A short term peace in Ukraine, designed entirely to spare Putin’s blushes, GUARANTEES a world war.

Russia getting its arse handed to it, royally, might actually avert that.

Given Putin’s threats, they should prepare as a precautionary measure.

However, Putin won’t launch a nuke. If he fires one tactical nuke, the US and NATO have already put him on notice that it would be castastrophic for Russia.

US and NATO won’t respond with a nuke for a nuke, risking a nuclear escalation. But they would absolutely respond.

Ret. Gen Petraus and others think the US and NATO would response would include sinking Russia’s black sea fleet and destroying all Russian army units and facilities in Ukrainian territory.

In other works using a nuke means Russia immediately loses the war for Ukraine.

It wouldn’t surprise me, but without specific equipment, one’s knowledge base is meaningless.
Like I said, I could be wrong.
