Trump should shut down in NYC. Close every building. Lay Off every New Yorker. Sell all his real estate holdings to China and Saudi Arabia.

IMHO, Trump would do a lot more to this scumbag by having his attorneys file a complaint with the NY Bar for abuse of prosecutorial discretion, specifically citing her campaign promises to prosecute him. How she could do that without having first had an investigation is impossible to explain, except with reference to bias...and once put into practice, it becomes an abuse of her discretion.

Such a complaint would also serve notice on other prosecutors that Trump won’t take this kind of crap without causing THEM a lot of aggravation, time and potential legal fees of their own.

This is why immunity needs to be revoked for prosecutors.
It was created in the 1970’s by the Supreme Court.

Prosecutorial immunity is an absolute shield against damages lawsuits for claims that arise from prosecutorial actions. Believing that the constant worry of lawsuits would impede prosecutors’ ability to do their job, in its 1976 decision Imbler v. Pachtman, the Supreme Court created this immunity to serve the “public trust” and ensure “the proper functioning of the criminal justice system.”

Maybe the current court can reverse this non-sense as well as affirmative action and Row v. Wade.

This is why making a complaint to the state bar association is, IMHO, a better tool. Her plain abuse of her authority as a prosecutor can result in sanctions, up to and including a revocation of her license to practice law. Much better and far more bang for the buck (including the deterrent effect on other scumbag prosecutors), again IMHO, than a lawsuit related to one particular case.

Nope, not a scumbag... er, I mean I’m not a lawyer. I just know that prosecutors in the US have extremely wide ranging immunity against suits from defendants.

Wrong venue, no jurisdiction, no standing, and prosecutorial immunity. Trump loses.

Letitia James is NOT a “dispassionate law enforcement officer.”

She’s a political commissar in one-party NY State.

What she is clearly doing should be clearly illegal.

I think it’s a delay tactic to keep her from accessing any discovery info and to stall his case until she is defeated next Tues. and an R AG throws the case out.
